“This is by far the best cafe in the area. My cycling group and I go quite often and it is my favourite of all. Jen and the team consistently provide excellent service and always with a smile on their face. The breakfasts are superb and my own favourite or bacon and sausage on toast is outstanding.”

“Excellent in every way, food, service, friendly and welcoming. Our friends group meet there regularly for drinks & cakes. Breakfasts are good also. It’s a gem of a place and with lots of regulars which says a lot.”

“Really enjoy walking here with the dogs and having a breakfast. Haven’t tried the pastries yet but their pork pies come highly recommended, so just a matter of time. Staff friendly and the dogs look forward to their cold sausages…a real treat”

“It was a bit chilly in the restaurant, cold draughts on the back of my head. Nice decor and redesign. We ordered Cheese flatbread, followed by the mains of Scouse with pastry lid and chips. OMG.. the wife struggled to finish her Scouse. I managed to eat all mine and finish hers. The chips were some of the best chips we've had in awhile, quite possibly better than the chips from Sixty Kitchen!”

“Loved this place since I was 16. It's gone through many owners and refurbs since then but still a lovely pub with a good menu, great choice of drinks, live sports, pool tables and generally a chilled and friendly vibe”

“Always go to the Wild bean after are walk on Formby beach the staff are wonderful, helpful went today and the girl serving behind the counter of the Cafe was lovely went at 2 o’clock Boxing Day 2023 don’t know what her name is buts she’s a credit to your Company she goes above and beyond Customer Service she should get an award for excellent service.”

“Outdoor sitting is so nice. Whole garden got it's magic. Green tea was really good quality. This cafe offers coffee, teas, cakes, pastries and even selected alcohol. Certain dishes of food are also available. Everyone in the café was friendly and helpful.”

“The cafe is adorable. It has an outdoor seating area with only some shade to protect you from the sun or rain. So, it’s pretty much take away-oriented to me. I had a matcha latte. Oh, what a rich and fragrant cup. The matcha taste and scent was nicely prominent with a little hint of creamy vanilla from the milk. Wonderful!”

“So glad we found this little spot on our recent trip to Formby! My partner goes off google reviews for where we visit and they certainly deserve these 5 stars! We got the Nduja Honey Eggs on sourdough and Smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough to share. Both dishes were fantastic! The honey eggs were a firm favourite with just enough of a kick and such a unique breakfast dish, hopefully we can come back for them soon. My oat latte was delicious and just what I needed on a chilly day. My partner got a flat white. I’m really happy we came from Liverpool to do some work in this cafe today, all of the staff really took care of us. What a great little spot!”

“Had an absolutely delicious 2 course meal as part of the early bird menu. It was slightly cold in there as we were first there but the food more than made up for it. Would definitely visit again maybe wearing something a bit warmer.”

“went on a Friday evening for tapas had 8 dishes between 3 of us. cant fault it every mouthful was delicious. patatas bravas were my favourite. Plenty of veggie and vegan options. The different breads to accommodate each dish were superb especially the garlic bread with the muscles in white wine definitely recommend, will be back soon 11/10”

“We were served today by a lovely lady called Kim, excellent service, friendly too. I also witnessed how Kim supported a less mobile patron in the bar - showing patience and compassion. The food was lovely, we will definitely be back for more! Very dog friendly too, our dog loved the sausages!!”

“This place was lovely to visit. The staff were friendly and the food enjoyable. We went for a lunch with our dog. They do allow dogs in the pub, but as it was a decent day we sat outside. You can order using the app and everything was brought to the table. Excellent place to go.”
