Staff were very helpful and friendly but still professional. Brought out cake and candles and even sang Happy Birthday . 1st visit but definitely not our last. Highly recommended. “Stopped off for lunch whilst visiting Crosby Beach. The cafe was not busy and we found a table inside. We ordered toasted tuna sandwiches which were filling and very tasty along with a pot of tea and an Americano. Drinks were quickly served with food arriving quickly afterwards. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. Has WiFi and toilets. Good value cafe in a lovely location.”

“5* review from when I ordered on Just Eat on 25/03/24 - usually I have to be very careful ordering Mexican food due to allergies but took a chance on Monday and I couldn't fault a single part of the meal. We ordered the enchilada meal deal for 2, the enchiladas were amazing and had lots of filling and sauce, the nachos were filled with beef, cheese and sauce and the chips were piping hot still... Which you can't say a lot for takeaway places. I'm definitely going to order again from here and couldn't recommend it more.”

“Called in again today Christmas eve , not only greated by their regular welcome and friendly manner ,but given a lovely surprise personal gift of a Christmas card and bottle of wine which they had taken the time to wrap and bag , which was very touching but not surprising as this shop is an asset to the local community always helpful friendly and work hard to.maintain a vital service for local residents cheers happy Christmas”

It’s rare to find a place that delivers both quality and value so consistently, but Il Capitano’s really does. The atmosphere across both the restaurant and the bar is warm and welcoming, made even better by the genuinely friendly staff. Everyone we interacted with was attentive and upbeat, helping create a relaxed and enjoyable evening for our whole group. A special mention has to go to Evie, who looked after us exceptionally well. She was attentive without being intrusive, quick to help with anything we needed, and made sure our group felt completely taken care of. Her service truly elevated the experience. Overall, Il Capitano’s and Bar Bolina are well worth a visit—great food, great prices, and great people. Highly recommended.”

“Had a brilliant night celebrating my sister's 60th birthday and my daughters. The staff were attentive and sangria flowed along with the chat, laughs and food. As we were there for birthday celebrations, the girls were treated to birthday cake(cheesecake) topped with a large sparkler, hats, music and singing waiters. A fabulous night out with the girls.”

We went for my partners birthday and they not only allowed me to drop a cake and candles off early, but got my partner on stage with the cake and sang to him - excellent!
