“Visited shop a couple of times looking for leather sofa and chair. No pressure whilst browsing like the big chains so that was good. Finally sold old couch so contacted Harpers and picked a couch and chair and was told we could probably have it delivered for free within a week. Actually received it within 24 hours of ordering items. You really can't beat that for service. Got a call from shop to say they would be delivering within 30 minutes so I could nip home and let them in. Two polite and respectful lads turned up and took great care whilst delivering as I had mentioned we had a new front door and they were very considerate of this. All packaging was taken away and the whole process from choosing items through to payment and delivery was spot on. would definitely recommend buying from Harpers especially how delivery was free and larger sofa companies will charge you around £100 for this. Thanks Harpers for great service.”

“I've been remote working due to Covid and have been experiencing back problems so needed a good office chair. They must have had at least 30+ different chairs in the showroom to try and were so helpful by asking my budget and explaining the different adjustments on them all. I'd highly recommend them .”

“If you want quality furniture at a competitive price and excellent customer service then visit this family business - G T Goodyears Furniture Centre at Mawdesley. We ordered our sofa and chair in February – when the furniture arrived in store we were unable to take delivery – not a problem just let us know when it’s convenient we were told. We were unable to take delivery until just recently! (November) – storage by G T Goodyear was never an issue – we were never pushed to provide them with a delivery date and neither were we asked to pay the outstanding balance. When we eventually took delivery the corner section of the sofa would not fit through our lounge door due to our small hallway! - several attempts at different angles were made but to no avail – don’t worry we will resolve the issue for you they said, we'll work something out - and they did. After a few hours work back at the store disassembling the corner section it was delivered successfully into our lounge and all rebuilt again. No extra charge – we just want satisfied customers we were told – well we are certainly that! Five star service – well done G T Goodyear Furniture”

“It was worth a visit, went to have a look around for a new sofa and chair, no hard selling from the lady in the shop we were left to browse around the wife did not find anything she fancy we were about to leave when the lady suggested we have a look at other sofa following a conversation with the lady the wife was happy and we bought a two and a one reclining seater, it was delivered and assembled on Monday by two nice gentlemen who took the old 3 piece suit away. thank you.”

“Saw Lauren at the Ashton-In-Makerfield store. She explained types of mattresses, encouraged me to lie on them, get comfy, to determine what suits me best. I explained I wanted storage drawers under both sides of the bottom of the bed, of course they could do that. Ordered with confidence, and I've had the best nights sleep I've ever had in over a year. No longer feels like I've slept in the back of a cement mixer on full mix lol. Highly recommended. Very knowledgeable and Lauren was easy to talk to. A credit to the company.”

“Charlies has a wide selection of clothing, tools and household items plus a gardening area and more.... Often with top brands and corresponding quality. I pop in from time to time to get a 20kg bag of bird seed, usually the cheapest in the area. Whilst I am there, I do also like to have a good look around at the clothing, footwear etc. They are also great for things like Stihl gardening equipment and spare parts too, with reasonable prices and no delivery costs to the store. Always well worth a look!”

After checking prices online it was clear Beesley & Fildes where the cheapest, had products on the shelf to go and available on credit through our accounts!
