“Been a dozen times now, and the food is always great. Little bit on the pricey side but when the weather sunny and you need a hot chocolate to warm you up, there no place better!”

“Another top burger! I'd been meaning to have the 'On your knees Texas Pete' burger again for a while after I had it whilst hungover last time. I felt I'd enjoy it a bit more when I had a bigger appetite and felt less nauseous! And my intuition was right. It went down much better and was packed with tasty meat. It could be better though... The sauces were quite sparce (particularly the chilli jam) and not spread well so were mostly in the middle. I'm also not a big fan of the pretzel bun either. It's quite tough to get your teeth into and doesn't soak in any juices or sauce either. The brisket was delicious and had nice flavour, although I couldn't say any Dr Pepper flavour was noticeable from it. Definitely one of the best places for burgers in Warrington and I'll miss it when I move up to the northeast this month. Previous visit: Incredible burgers! I've had a few of the different offering from here over a few years and never been disappointed. The 'Tony Montana' though has topped the lot. Fantastic flavours from the sauces and a good amount of chorizo. The patties they use are delicious! The fries didn't add much to the burger really but were a nice gimmick and made the stack more impressive as well as messier. I also had the BBQ wings. A huge portion with a good covering of sauce. They were beautifully crisp but a little overcooked so the chicken was quite dry. One of the best places around for a burger and plenty of mouthwatering options. Another previous visit: Delicious 'Chick Norris' breakfast dish and nice tater tots. Top place with a great menu. Fantastic burgers but don't miss out on the boneless wings! Massive portion and they're bangin!”

“Been to this pub a few times now, mostly weekday lunch with partner or friends...lovely food, good size beer garden with plenty of seats, dog friendly 1 room inside and the garden. Staff always friendly, park over the road in the recycling area ... definitely plan to come for an all day lunch in taxi before summer out ...”

“We booked for a large group with not a lot of notice yet the staff were brilliant. We were working in the area and wanted to celebrate a colleague so 20 of us descended on the restaurant and service was fantastic. Drinks were flowing, food came out in good time and they were constantly checking we had everything. A real gem.”

“Order from here regularly at home and work. Delivery is always in good time. Staff always friendly and happy to accommodate requests. The food...well best I've tried around here and I've tried alot. Ribs are amazing and lots of meat on them. Love the Singapore vermicelli which they make extra spicy for me. And the hot and sour soup is perfect”

“Was in the area for work but used to live locally and remembered this place , I bypassed other closer chippy's to revisit here and it was just as good as I remembered. Wide variety, the fish was great and cooked fresh to order so slight wait but worth it . And there even serving gyros now, I didn't order but another customer did and it looked great. Staff were friendly , tbh server was very attentive and professional...it made a difference Will be back again”

“Held my daughters 21st party there. Hired the room upstairs. Its not massive but held our guests without it feeling like there were groups dotted around the place. Staff were fantastic. Really friendly and professional. Well recomended by us as a place to host small to medium parties.”

“Always enjoy our meals in here. They offer a gluten free menu, prices are decent, broad selection of drinks. Good friendly honest service. Have come a few times now both at lunch and tea. Kids loved playing footy outside in summer. Can be busy but it's a great pub so it will be. Prefer sitting outside with dog as its less noisy, hot and crowded for them. Highly recommended.”

“Grabbed a starbucks on Friday 21st around 8pm. Served by a lady with short pink hair and a guy I think was called Jack. Really friendly service on a very busy packed theatre day (Barbieheimmer cinema day) and nicest drinks ever? Helped with recommendations when I had no idea what to grab. Thanks guys!”

“Needed some proper food close to M6. Fed up with motorway services rubbish. This little chippy is literally 5 mins off the M6 & has good parking. The guy serving was pleasant, portions good, and the Cod & Chips were great value, hot & tasty. Would use again & definitely recommend to others!”

Shop is clean, food is hygienically wrapped and always tasty. Never oily nor greasy. We've been ordering there for years now. Absolutely love the Chinese Mama who runs the show. “21ST MAY 2025. Wandering Wednesday’ took Hubby Neil and I, just a few miles down the road in Lowton to…….. ‘The Travellers Rest’, there are so many places we have passed over the years and never ventured in side, as we’ve always tended to eat on our door step or simply returned with the pubs we liked….. this is definitely one of those pub ‘Gems’ that we have missed out on over the years….. inside the decor is tastefully done and the restaurant was pristine. Our servers today were Destiny, Dylan, Catherine and Kay, they were all very polite, smiley, professional and attentive, they gave a great all round service….. also a big shout out to the chefs in the background, your food presentation was perfect, all the dishes were delicious and piping hot….. Thank you, you are all massive credit to this establishment. Staters: We both had the same, which was Crispy Black Pudding & Bacon Stack, served on a Bubble & Squeak cake and drizzled with a creamy peppercorn sauce, garnished with pea shoots…. Entrée’s: Neil had a fillet of Salmon, with asparagus, lay on a bed of mixed salad, along with hot new potatoes and all drizzled with a creamy dill dressing…. I had: Homemade Pie and Chips….. Chicken, Bacon & Vegetable pie, served with triple cooked chips, accompanied with seasonal vegetables of tenderstem broccoli, sliced leek, green beans and proper thick, rich gravy…. The pie was filled to the brim with big chunks of the filling and again everything was piping hot…. So tasty. We shared sliced white bloomer and butter, even the bread was light and fluffy! So the question is? Would we go back???? At the drop of a hat!! 100% YES!”

“I arrived at the Horseshoe Inn after struggling to find a nearby lunchtime venue with an attractive variety of food on the menu. Here I found the true Lord of the Pies and am now a devotee! This first time I dined on his award winning Braised Beef masterpiece with Truffle and Parmesan mash and will definitely return to taste more and more. There’s also plentiful choice for vegetarian diners.”

“I had a wonderful dining experience at The Partridge after a walk around Marbury Park. The staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming. They were also very accommodating to us with dogs, staff also giving them a fuss and a biscuit each (we had 3 spaniels), which created a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. Overall, a lovely meal and an enjoyable visit. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend the ‘Partridge buddha bowl with added Halloumi’ which tasted delicious.”

“Went for Sunday dinner with my friend last week. The place was extremely busy but was found a table almost immediately. Was served at the bar and carvery quickly and efficiency. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Special shout out to Vicky for great service, who seemed to be everywhere! Also to Suzy who went out of her way to bring us such a lovely Christmas Pud, and her daughter in the kitchen who apparently made it up for us, as we were a bit fussy. Thank you all.”
