“Hi, I came in yesterday to the Birkenhead store on Grange Road, to get one of them birthday cakes which you put your own photograph on. To say I struggled to do it was an understatement. I asked a young lad in the bakery if he could help me at all. He didn't hesitate to come and show me how it was done. I would have been lost without him. He was kind, patient, and nothing was too much trouble. I asked him his name, and he said it was Kieran. I'd just like to thank him so much for his help and to say he is an asset to your store x. “Very clean tidy and variety of products. Meats are not cut with automatic saws in the butcher section. You get a meat without bone splinters. As the butcher is his father's profession, he knows his job very well. We only bought a slice of cake in the patisserie section. Would you believe, both fresh and creamy sugar is exactly what we wanted. They said it was the product of Pelit patisserie. I think it's fine.”

“Usually my first port of call. Has everything from home to garden. There are shops about where you can buy DIY items, tools etc cheaper but then you've heard of the quote "buy cheap, buy twice". Items here are quality, durable and so far... unbreakable. If the product you want isn't in stock they will order it for the following day plus the late closing means you can call after work and not wait until the weekend. The staff are really helpful too.”

“Popped into Lidl this morning. Unfortunately for me, an old man with an enormous trolley load was infront of me at the only till open (at 8:15am). A member of staff took the initiative and just opened a lane, without having to be asked. She was cheery and pleasant and a credit to the store. Despite her having to re-boot the till I was still away before the old man had finished unloading his trolley. Thank you for some forethought and using your initiative.”

“I'm sorry but Heron Foods just de facto gets 5 stars because its Heron Foods. The ONLY shops serving up Grade A bargains on New Year's Day, Easter Monday AND Christmas Morning. They don't give a damn! You are getting those cut price household options 365 days a year!”
