“I booked an appointment for a weeks time. Availability was great, I could choose any day and time. From arrival I was warmly greeted, Spoilt with Tea and Coffee and biscuits. Amazing team working 3-4 hours on my hair. LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair colour and the cut is great also. Cannot thank them enough for giving me confidence with wearing my hair down again.”

“Visited last Monday during a week-long stag celebration and wow what a hidden gem! The garlic bread is quite honestly the best we’ve ever tasted and the cocktails were superb - and I think we tried the entire menu between us! Wonderful service, stayed open for us too. We can’t thank you enough, will definitely visit again if in the area!”

“A perfect Friday lunch in the garden of the Guildford Arms Pub. The food, drink and service was excellent and we will be back! The roast Hispi cabbage with kimchi was so delicious!!! One of our favourite pubs in SE London.”

“We were staying at The Harbour Hotel as an anniversary treat and so we decided to have a meal here. There was a great atmosphere on arrival, with the experience from start to finish being amazing. I couldn't fault the service at all and the food was absolutely amazing. Our server Finn was also great. I certainly would highly recommended The Long Bar & Grill.”

“So we made a mistake when booking (rather than the 21st to 23rd had booked 20th to 22nd!) and panicked when we arrived about the night that hadnt been booked. The manager put us in the room we had booked and was able to book us into a different room for the following night which we were able to transfer into early in the morning. The breakfast is amazing. The pool is incredible. Special shout out to the pool attendant who let me and my special needs child into the pool close to closing time. We weren't that thrilled with the areas of Guildford we explored, but would return purely for this hotel, fantastic”

“It Had been Long time since i last came to Thai Express for the Food. Decided to Try again this time and The Taste/ Service Was amazing as Always. I tried Green Curry with Battered Chicken it was So Good. Definitely will come back often. 10/10”

“An authentic Italian experience from the moment you enter. The service was exceptional, attentive but never intrusive. This is a family owned and run restaurant and such a pleasant change from those formulaic chains. All our food was superb, particularly the fish dishes and great value. Pre-booking is advisable.”

“We had a very memorable dinner at Carlo’s Trattoria ! Despite booking a table for 22 of us at very short notice , Bonnie and Jay went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dinner for my family gathering. The service was attentive and impeccable throughout the whole evening and the food truly delicious with very generous portions. We all had the fixed menu with a selection of starters ( the fried calamari are the best I have eaten in a very long time - even my Sicilian auntie thought they were tastier than the ones in Sicily ) followed by the prawns risotto and fresh ravioli with porcini mushroom and sage which were both heavenly! We ended the dinner with an amazing selection of desserts, all beautifully presented. I live in London but I will definitely drive back to Guildford just to eat at Carlo’s again!. “We tried this Lebanese restaurant in Guildford, must say the atmosphere the service & the food is all very good. We tried many dishes, Shrimps, Chicken livers, squid rings, Lebanese spicy sausages, the mixed platter all very cooked very well & was delicious. Would recommend this restaurant.”

“We came in on 1st November for our really early Christmas Do. As always Sam and the team were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great and the pub was full. We used the app to order so didn’t even need to get up off the table. The food came out promptly, piping hot and was delicious, I couldn’t fault anything. This is a lovely pub with an atmosphere. Well done to Sam, Hannah and your team.”

“Went for the Rage Room today for a bit of fun on a Monday. Best thing I could have done. Smashing a TV, Laptop, Kettle, Toaster, a big bucket full of bottles and a tub of crockery really does help relieve the mind. 100% will be back with friends and family for more.”

“Heritage country estate made to feel cozy and personal thanks to amazing staff. Major shoutout to Alexandra who went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. All of the staff treated our stay like it was personal to them. The grounds are second to none in beauty. We recently stayed at Pennyhill Park and thought Wotton House was so much better. It's also super dog friendly, which was just awesome. We will definitely be back!”

“I thought this place was a really good find! Located opposite the hospital, 10-15 walk from Guildford centre. I stayed in a single room, as I just needed somewhere to put my stuff overnight. The room is a standard single room size enough for a single bed, hanging space for clothes and a small desk and chair. . They provided tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a robe. The robe was needed as I had a shower room to myself, but was located down the hall (also remember to fetch slippers) Luckily though, it was very quiet when I stayed and only saw one other guest. The hotel itself is clean, nicely decorated with nice fittings. The shower room was a bit small, but couldn’t fault the power shower! Again lovely and clean. The room was also well presented and good value for money. The lady at reception was really welcoming and friendly. Also to note the doors don’t lock by themselves so make sure to take your key with you and lock doors behind you when you leave your room. I didn’t have food here, as my stay was really short but the menu seemed nice. Overall a pleasant stay and great value for money!”

“I stayed last night for a business trip. Considering this was one of the more affordable hotels, I was impressed by The Mandolay. Great rooms. Attentive staff and great bar / dining area. Only small critique was the showers aren't the largest, but no issues whilst I was there.”

“Honestly was the best experience one of the best nightclubs I have ever been to the staff behind the bar were so nice and polite and the security staff were really the best Syed and Hugh were really nice and helpful and I felt really safe honestly really nice staff amazing venue would highly recommend”

“A lovely place with a warm welcome. Some truly historic rooms in a very historic building. Buffet breakfast offered. Lots of interesting and quirky places to sit. Lovely garden. On a busy road. Ten pounds to park but plenty of free places nearby.”

“I don’t like staying at Travelodge, I had no choice to stay in Chertsey. We were greeted my Sameen, she had a friendly smile. It was a check check in, still thinking can’t believe I’m in a travelodge, until I saw the room, the room was spacious and very clean. Actually the hotel was very clean, I could not find a fault with the Chertsey branch. Well done to the hotel staff and specially to Sameen I hope that is the correct name. She changed my mind about travelodge. Best of luck.”

“I visited the Guildford Parkway Beefeater restaurant on Wednesday 19th November. I was not particularly hungry so a meal from the children's menu sufficed. This was steak chips, peas and mini corn on the cob. The food was delicious and very promptly served. K-C was my waitress and was extremely professional and polite. That said, this applied to all the staff and the atmosphere was very relaxing. In particular I consider that the meal was excellent value for money at £6-99. As an example, I recently paid £9+ for a McDonald's meal. Food was good, and service prompt,  BUT, as with all such restaurants, I had to eat with my fingers from a paper bag. At the Beefeater, I have a proper plate and cutlery, and service was just as quick as at McDonald's. Also, yesterday, before dining at the Beefeater, I visited my local Costa. Staff are very pleasant, however I paid £12+ for coffee, cheese cake and a toasted sandwich. In other words, almost twice the cost of a "real" Beefeater meal! Plus, again I had to eat with my fingers! So, overall, many thanks and I look forward to my next meal at Guildford Parkway.  Allan Woolston.”

“The food here is very much a six star award. Service exemplary. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because, sadly, we were the only people in the dining area on a Friday night. I guess all other diners were savouring the heady delights of a Big Mac! They don't know what they are missing. I would also guess that being an hotel people mistakenly have the impression that it is just that, somewhere to sleep and have breakfast before you go elsewhere. MISTAKE! If you like good food in clean surroundings with good professional service, then they The Mandolay. You won't be disappointed.”
