“A sensational afternoon tea experience. The teas were unusual and delicious. The food, both savory and sweet, was freshly made, and of superior quality. Topping it all off, an elegant yet understated atmosphere with friendly, attentive service. A special thanks to the sweet blonde waitress who helped us with our language skills with uncommon patience and attention.”

“I had a wonderful lunch today at Doost & Amaci & Amichi, a delightful Persian-Italian restaurant with a unique and delicious fusion concept. I tried the Koobideh kebab with saffron rice, and it genuinely impressed me – incredibly tender, fresh, and packed with flavour. It tasted just like a homemade Persian kebab, full of authenticity and care. The outdoor courtyard seating was a lovely touch, offering a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the meal. What stood out just as much as the food was the hospitality, the team were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Service was smooth and professional throughout.”

“We popped into Stage Door Steakhouse & Bar on 21/09/2024 after a terrible experience at another place, and boy, we are glad we did! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The T-bone steak? Delicious and cooked to perfection! They have a solid drink selection too - no mocktails, but we still had a great time on our dinner date. And don’t skip the ice cream; it was amazing! Definitely recommend this spot for a tasty steak and good vibes!”

“English Breakfast + Iced Latte (13.50£) Came across this cafe as I was looking to find a breakfast place and I did not regret the decision to step inside. It was crowded but they are happy to serve a solo diner still, which I really appreciate. The servers were friendly and the cafe gave off this cosy-family vibes. Food wise, it is what you expected. For a cafe near Paddington, the price is actually great. Portion is decent too. Taste wise, I think it is quite standard. Nothing too mind blowing but I wasn't seeking for that. I just wanted a comfort food and this does the job. I really do love the atmosphere. Would love to come back again when I am in London.”

“I have been to this pub a few times.since the new manager took over (i think he has been managing for around 8 months now). They are a very friendly community based team. Today for example a lady in a wheel chair was outside and asked me.to let.thr staff kmow she needed help. Thr manager immediately let.me tell him even though he was really busy. Came out straight away and mads the lady feel special and supported. He even tried to find a comfy seat available for her and one that was not high. When I have been here before the manager was again very chatty and explained he wamts customers.tk feel special and valued. He certainly has achieved this. The ither staff also are friendly and always approachable. You will be served here quickly as they make customers a priority.the food is amazing too.”

“I was amused by Chinese Moon's review of this pub. He/she appears to be from Singapore and not understand how a British pub works (you go to the bar and order your drinks). It's a great local pub: friendly and with good music. We were on a pub crawl on a wet Saturday evening and ended up staying here for three drinks.”

“What a place! Completely unsuspecting, given that it's just a door next to Hendon Central Underground Station. Even the name on the front doesn't specify that it's a bona fide curry house. The only thing that gives it away is the delicious smells that emanates from the premises. I took my younger brother there to celebrate him completing his degree and we were both absolutely stunned with the service, the atmosphere and of course the food! I had the palak lamb and he had the chicken madras. Each bite was a deep explosion of fragrant flavour. I also bought a butter chicken for my partner at home. Her only complaint was that I didn't buy any rice for her! With all that we bought - 3 mains (one was takeaway), onion bhaji, pilau rice, two naans and about 4 pints - it came to just under 70 quid plus tip (tip not included), which is not bloody bad if you ask me! The waiter that served us was very attentive, keeping our pints filled up and making sure we were enjoying our time there. There is also a pool table and a buzzing sports scene there too, though I did not get too involved in that as I was too taken by the food. Also, don't be deceived, while you do go below street level as you enter, it is not some sort of windowless basement. It actually backs onto the tube platform and you watch as the trains come and go - adding yet more intrigue to the already fantastic atmosphere. There's also an outdoor smoking area, away from the street if you're a smoker. Another thing that deserves a mention is the dips they provide with the popadums. Of course there's a raita, but instead of the lime pickle - which is usually take it or leave it for me - they provide some sort of mild chilli sauce. My goodness! That was something really special. I would try to describe it but it wouldn't express how exciting the sauce is. In fact, the sentiment of that last sentence could be applied to the entire experience! Do not waste time reading my review; go to The Arena and have a bloody great curry!”

“Amazing chicken place with generous portions. On a good day one chicken box can serve lunch and dinner for me! The chicken is very tender and juicy. It is also seasoned properly, with a mixture of spices, leaving a wonderful aftertaste. Remember to ask for extra green sauce! It is a perfect match with the chicken. You'll never forget the taste once you've had it. For people who like spiciness, the chili sauce goes really well with the green sauce. The sides are less impressive. Vegetables and rice are a bit undercooked to my taste, without much seasoning either. But hey, what more can you ask for after such delicious chicken. Overall very good value for money. The waiters are helpful and friendly.”

    Electric Bar & Diner

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“We were fortunate to secure a reservation for two at The Ned's Electric Bar & Diner for the highly popular Interstellar, Michelin, BBQ pop-up. During the booking process, we were thoughtfully asked if we were celebrating anything. Coming from Texas, we were craving a taste of home. We went for the brisket, the official Texas BBQ meat, and the fare absolutely fulfilled that desire. Just to mention, it was £40 extra for the brisket. The food was sensational, with deeply smoky and tender meats and savory sides that brought us right back to our favorite barbecue joints. However, despite mentioning our anniversary during the reservation, none of the four servers acknowledged the occasion. It was a bit disappointing when they simply brought the check without any mention of our celebration. It was a bit of a letdown after such a fantastic meal.”

“Absolutely delicious food and very attentive staff. The menu very clearly states what dishes are vegan and there’s so many options. We were spoilt for choice and ended up taking home what was left as the portions were very generous. So glad to have a local restaurant this good. Will definitely be back.”
