“I popped into The White Hart in Crystal Palace and was blown away by their Sunday roast. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Anastasiia looked after us and made the experience even better — so attentive and friendly. Definitely one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in London!”

Nicole, Maddy and Izzie made us feel welcome from when we arrived, before this though, the communication with the team were very attentive and the food options and quality did not disappoint, we'll be booking our 3rd Christmas event here next year too.”

“I've been coming to the salon for over 2 years, and the service and quality has always been exceptional. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help and have a chat. Ashleigh is my hairdresser and always does my hair to an incredible standard. I trust her so much with my hair, that I even asked her to do my wedding hair last year. Definitely recommend the salon to anyone who is looking for a hairdresser.”

“I don’t regularly post google reviews but I was so impressed by the weekend I’ve just spent with a group of friends at Nutfield that I felt compelled to tell others. It’s a 4 star hotel but the service is most definitely 5 stars. The friendliest and most helpful staff I can remember coming across at a hotel. We were quite a demanding bunch but nothing was too much trouble.”

    The Lodge Hotel

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“This is the happiest I've ever been at a hotel. Stayed for 6 nights. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Pillows were fantastic (two size options - yay!). The staff is so friendly. Easy check-in and check out. You are close to your neighbors but I didn't hear anyone. The window opened all the way for fresh air. There was also the Eur slot vent with the option to open or close, and an A/C (though I didn't try the A/C). The TV included a handful of channels and the option to login with Netflix. The blackout curtains worked really well (helpful for jet lag). Hot water was hot, water pressure was great. Waterfall and hand held showerheads. The location is walkable to two different train stations. Even in the middle of the night people were walking the streets regularly. It felt very safe. Local pubs had friendly vibes. Hotel bar had travelers in it regularly working or sipping on cocktails. Room came with cotton rounds (yay!), Qtips, shower cap (yay!), hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, conditioner from a good brand. Iron was available on request. Laundry services are a one-day turnaround, drop off morning, get it back at night. Sink basin closes should you need to hand wash. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room. The tea was particularly yummy. The coffee was Nepresso with a variety of pods. The fridge included snacks and alcohol for cost, prices listed. The room also has a safe. The whole hotel was very clean. To set expectations, the room is smaller compared to maybe what someone in the US would be used to (it's London after all). Hangers and one small drawer for your clothes. No full length mirror and no where to place anything in the shower (ie your razor). The shower's a bit tight. No lifts (again it's London) but they are happy to help you with your bags. This place just had a great vibe and getting a good night's sleep is such a privilege when traveling. Highly Recommend.”

“Joy King Lau has established itself as our reliable culinary favourite in Central London. While the dim sum here is genuinely top-tier—the food is amazing and always leaves us delighted—what truly transforms this restaurant into an institution is the exceptional, personalized service. We come here all the time, and every visit feels special thanks to the incredible team. In particular, we want to recognize Jia and Ahan. These two fantastic waiters treat us so well, making us feel instantly welcome the moment we step through the door. Jia is always so personable and attentive, handling a busy dining room with grace while still making sure our table is perfectly looked after. Ahan is equally brilliant—professional, quick, and always ready with a smile. Their dedication ensures a smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable experience every single time. As for the cuisine, the execution is flawless. The dim sum is fresh, flavourful, and consistently the best we've found. From the delicate steamed buns to the crispy fried selections, this is a kitchen operating at peak performance. If you’re looking for a Central London dim sum spot that excels in both taste and hospitality, look no further. Thank you, Joy King Lau, Jia, and Ahan, for being our reliable haven!”

“Leaving a review, just to say the manager at the White City store with glasses is fantastic. If you need extra help ask for him as he will do his very best to help you. Don't want to get anyone else in trouble but another staff member asking me (the customer) to phone another store to see if they have something in stock of a particular item isn't the proper response to a query.”

“A breath of fresh air for the Hampstead / Belsize area. While so many nearby pubs seem desperate to be seen as “gastro” — overpriced menus, forced décor and an air of self-importance — this place keeps it simple and gets it right. Relaxed atmosphere, proper prices, live football and genuinely lovely staff. It remembers what a pub is meant to be.”

“Large local pub with a lot of history (the whole area, "The Blue" us named after it). A good selection of beers and friendly staff. The pub was completely shuttered all over covid and I was worried that it would close forever, but it's back now under new ownership. It's clearly a good place for watching sport.”

    The Founder's Arms

    ★★★★☆ 4.3

“What a welcomed surprise at the Founders Arms. My mom and I took our first trip from the sunshine of Florida to a late November cold winter visit to London. We were so blessed to have stumbled upon this amazing place while on a personal walking tour with a friend who lives in London walking from Buckingham Palace to see the Change of Guard, to Big Ben and now across the Thames to this part of town. Neither she or her colleagues have ever visited this Pub so it was a first time for everyone. We immediately walked in from the bitter cold and were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Once our party of 3 were sat down, we had had a prime spot away from the crowded bar and middle tables and were placed closer to the back area. This was ideal because we had a river view of the Thames that opened up to a postcard picture of the city with people walking by on the outside. Not only did we get placed in a great spot, our server OLLIE was a complete gem. His service was impeccable, thoughtful and genuine. He also made us feel welcomed and not as tourists. He laughed with us and gave us some inside information on other things to see and do around Borough Market. The menu was all Gluten Free and that worked perfect for my friend’s dietary needs. What also worked was that my mom and I wanted to experience our first Pub meal of the famous “Fish and Chips.” We knew London was famous and well known for this simple meal, but when it arrived at our table, we were shocked that this was like a King/Queen sized meal that was unexpected and with their smashed peas. I didn’t know this was a thing, but Hulk Smash all the peas because they were good. The whole meal was WOW! My pictures do not do it justice. We even ordered my mom’s meal To-Go back to our flat. It actually stayed hot and was very well packaged for the journey. Kudos to the chef and the staff. Be prepared to spend at least 30£ per person as a side note. In the UK, the tip is already included so expect to be treated like royalty. Ollie was amazing in service. I’m so sorry to have waited this long to write about our experience, but it’s finally here. If he forgot something, he quickly apologized and brought it to the table right away. He also gave some helpful suggestions when trying some of the non-alcoholic drinks. The Apple and Elderflower was out of this world and so was the Hot Honey and Pineapple drink that my friend ordered and I had a sample sip. Wow! Whoever came up with these drink menus are to be commended. I mean wow. They were quite expensive for the first time guest, however we now know what to expect. Thank you Ollie and the Founder’s Arms for making our first trip to a Pub memorable, exciting, fun as well as giving us our first taste of London.”

The staff were kind, attentive and respectful, which meant a lot to our family on such a difficult day. They put on a really lovely buffet that was well presented and enjoyed by everyone, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Thank you to Artur and his team!”
