“Visited this pub for lunch yesterday with a 4 day old baby - the two ladies serving were very welcoming and friendly. Table service was great from the moment we sat down and after scouring the menu, we both ordered the New Inn Burger - 5* burger in my opinion, the quality of meat and the cook was excellent. Hats off to the chef! Will definitely be returning.”

“I loved the atmosphere of this pub. I was there last Sunday to try the Sunday roast. When I arrived, it was almost impossible to get a table as the place was packed, but the staff were very friendly and quickly found a spot for my wife and me. When we placed our food order, we were told it would take around 20 minutes because many tables were ordering at the same time. I went for the pork belly, and my wife chose the roast beef. We were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived much faster than expected , the portions were generous, and everything was absolutely delicious. I must also highlight the gravy and apple sauce, which was fantastic. I’ll definitely be going back with family and friends!”

“I recently held a wake for my late mother at The Queen’s Head, and I cannot praise the team enough. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly during such an emotional time. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. There was a fantastic variety, and it was all so well received by our guests—it disappeared in no time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made everyone feel comfortable and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend The Queen’s Head to anyone looking for a venue to host a wake or any special gathering. “Absolutely beautiful pub! From the stunning wooden beamed exterior, to the quaint delightful interior, the Blackhorse, is exactly how a pub ought be. The menu options are fantastic, with options for kids and adults alike. So something for everyone - even fussy kids! I love visiting the Blackhorse, with my partner and teenage kids, and we always have a wonderful time, and have created some amazing memories there over the years. I look forward to creating many more memorable moments at the Blackhorse.”

“We decided to have a late Summer gathering and were a number of 10. I booked online but rang The Eagle to discuss as wasn’t sure what the weather would be and how best to accommodate our number. I was helped by a very nice member of staff with my booking and gave the returnable deposit. We were given an outside Shack which was nice to have drinks in but moved to another table with benches to eat as it was a more suitable height. Most of us had the Sunday Lunch which had a variety of veg and we could have more Yorkshires or gravy if we wanted. It was very nice having table Service and not having to go to the bar to buy drinks. We paid individually so weren’t presented with one large bill trying to differ up at the end, which helped in a large party. The Eagle wasn’t particularly busy on this particular Sunday afternoon -I have seen their garden rammed before and I wonder if it had been busier we would have had such bespoke service. The only downside was two choices of red wine a Malbec and a Pinot Noir were not available. But all the staff encountered were extremely welcoming and polite and the garden is a delight.”

While so many nearby pubs seem desperate to be seen as “gastro” — overpriced menus, forced décor and an air of self-importance — this place keeps it simple and gets it right. Relaxed atmosphere, proper prices, live football and genuinely lovely staff. It remembers what a pub is meant to be.”

“What a welcomed surprise at the Founders Arms. My mom and I took our first trip from the sunshine of Florida to a late November cold winter visit to London. We were so blessed to have stumbled upon this amazing place while on a personal walking tour with a friend who lives in London walking from Buckingham Palace to see the Change of Guard, to Big Ben and now across the Thames to this part of town. Neither she or her colleagues have ever visited this Pub so it was a first time for everyone. We immediately walked in from the bitter cold and were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Once our party of 3 were sat down, we had had a prime spot away from the crowded bar and middle tables and were placed closer to the back area. This was ideal because we had a river view of the Thames that opened up to a postcard picture of the city with people walking by on the outside. Not only did we get placed in a great spot, our server OLLIE was a complete gem. His service was impeccable, thoughtful and genuine. He also made us feel welcomed and not as tourists. He laughed with us and gave us some inside information on other things to see and do around Borough Market. The menu was all Gluten Free and that worked perfect for my friend’s dietary needs. What also worked was that my mom and I wanted to experience our first Pub meal of the famous “Fish and Chips.” We knew London was famous and well known for this simple meal, but when it arrived at our table, we were shocked that this was like a King/Queen sized meal that was unexpected and with their smashed peas. I didn’t know this was a thing, but Hulk Smash all the peas because they were good. The whole meal was WOW! My pictures do not do it justice. We even ordered my mom’s meal To-Go back to our flat. It actually stayed hot and was very well packaged for the journey. Kudos to the chef and the staff. Be prepared to spend at least 30£ per person as a side note. In the UK, the tip is already included so expect to be treated like royalty. Ollie was amazing in service. I’m so sorry to have waited this long to write about our experience, but it’s finally here. If he forgot something, he quickly apologized and brought it to the table right away. He also gave some helpful suggestions when trying some of the non-alcoholic drinks. The Apple and Elderflower was out of this world and so was the Hot Honey and Pineapple drink that my friend ordered and I had a sample sip. Wow! Whoever came up with these drink menus are to be commended. I mean wow. They were quite expensive for the first time guest, however we now know what to expect. Thank you Ollie and the Founder’s Arms for making our first trip to a Pub memorable, exciting, fun as well as giving us our first taste of London.”

“amazing food. pricey but there’s a reason for it, the food is good quality and good portion sizes. stunning fish finger sandwich. as a vegetarian i felt like there were plenty of options. service was great when i went. it can definitely get busy/loud in here but at the end of the day it’s bringing them business which is good to see! i also came here for a party a few weeks ago and the servers were incredible. amazing venue”

“Brilliant pints, brilliant views. Plenty of space in this Fullers Pub for larger gatherings and, perfectly located between Brentford and Richmond so lots of access to places to eat before or after, but that's not even needed because I would recommend eating here!”

“Hidden Gem in Putney! The pub is light and airy with a buzzy, friendly atmosphere - with a large outdoor area too. We sat inside in the dining area for our meal and all chose the roast chicken - which was absolutely amazing! The portions were generous, the chicken was served with roast potatoes, a variety of veggies and a giant Yorkshire too. The accompanying gravy was so so good! We also enjoyed a few of the spritz’s which were refreshing on a sunny afternoon. Big thanks to Archie and Holly - nothing was too much trouble and they were so welcoming! The Coat and Badge is our new favourite roast spot - we’ve already booked back in with a group of friends for next week!”

“Brilliant pub. Inside space can be a bit of a squeeze at times but mostly very spacious and the beer garden is great and has a children’s play area. But above all are the staff - genuinely take an interest and are just fantastic. They always go above and beyond to make you experience the best it can be. Love going here!”

“Great place to come, a large space with a swimming pool, library and gym, as well as a cafe. The pool is a reasonably big one where they sometimes run classes and there is also a kids pool next to the main pool. The gym is also pretty big, with lots of running machines and lots of different sections. The library has books for all ages and in all different categories of books. I recommend coming here.”

“My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements. “Stopped here for a bite to eat while waiting for my flight, honestly, I'm pretty shocked at the low review of this place, it was pretty good! I decided to get the meat pie of the day which was a steak pie and it came with gravy, mashed potatoes and heated greens. For an airport, I don't know what more you could ask for. Sure, it was pricy, loud, and busy, but it's an airport. If you're here looking for a luxury quant experience I suggest touching grass instead.”
