“It was a sunny Sunday when I visited here. The atmosphere was amazing. Polite and welcoming staff. Good quality food, freshly cooked on site and reasonably priced. Great coffee too. Will definitely recommend and visit again. Have facilities at the back.”

“First time @Ayat and loved it. Good was great, flavour dishes prepared with care. Interior looks great has it's own unique flair although music was to loud. Service was a bit lacking. We where seated promptly and our food came out in timely manner but the waitress didn't check on us at all (she was on her phone all the time we where there as we could see from our spot). We need to get up and ask her for another round of drinks as she wasn't paying any attention to us at all.And then she got our simple order for drinks wrong, we where the only costumers there so no distractions and it was quite early an a lazy Sunday. Hope that the service does improve as the food was delicious. Will come back to give it another chance for sure.”

“I had been coming to the Dog and Bull for years before the Refurb and always found it charming. I returned in May to a bright and vibrant garden, dubbed 'the wilderness' the new booths were a welcome upgrade and made the space feel substantial! Besides the cosmetic changes, I have grown to love this pub in my home town of Croydon even more than I did before! We've been so lucky to have an amazing summer and it's been great to see this pub so close to my heart packed out with new and returning people each week! I have been raving about The Dog since May and have invited all my uni mates who talk down on Croydon to have a drink with me There, they've all eaten their words and finally seen the charm that Croydon has that is encapsulated in what I think is the best pub in central Croydon! The staff are friendly and make everyone feel like they're in their local and they have live DJ sets, with music I wish more places would play (deep cuts of Garage, R&B, Jungle…list goes on). I wanted to write this review as we always complain when we don't like an establishment but never give praise to environments where we feel comfortable and want to return to so thank you to all the staff at The Dog and I'm sure you'll be seeing me again in the near future.”

“I had the Sunday roast today and was genuinely impressed by the flavor. It was well-seasoned and, dare I say, even better than what I’ve had at Hawksmoor! I know that sounds bold, but it’s true. The service was fantastic as well; the staff were friendly and personable. The atmosphere was relaxing, making it a perfect spot to unwind. This place is truly a gem in Croydon, and I’ll definitely be coming back often!”

“I love coming and getting my nails done here - the staff are lovely, the service is great and my nails always look AMAZING! First time I came just for a quick gel hands polish and ended up staying for a pedicure as well because it was such a nice experience. Really great range of colours and services and the massage chairs for pedi are a bonus! Definitely the go-to place in South Croydon. 100% recommend!”

“We held our Christmas party at Project B last night. It was such a fun time in a fabulous venue! The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us including setting up table tennis! The DJ mixed in our favourite requests and kept us dancing through the night. I would highly recommend Project B.”

What truly makes this place special, though, is the owner – a kind and authentic gentleman who never forgets to greet you with a friendly wave every time you pass by. “Called in for a few drinks while in the area. This is a "proper" old school pub which is rare these days! The lady serving was lovely and helped us with some local knowledge of bars in the area. Good pint of Guinness”

“Popped in here at 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon without pre-booking an appointment and had a lovely experience. I waited for the previous customer to be finished (around 30 mins) before I was seen but I appreciated them fitting me in. I asked for some neutral extensions (not too long) just to cover up my embarrassingly short nails (I bite them when I get anxious!) and the lady - I didn't catch her name - did a great job. Just what I asked for, and she was very meticulous and neat, which I appreciated. No card payments but you can pay by cash or bank transfer. Would recommend to a friend! Thanks :)”

“I often grab a hot chocolate whenever I can either before or after work which is always top tier. The atmosphere is always good and the staff are extremely attentive to all customer needs. Highly recommend as the drinks are far better than those which neighbour them (mainly Starbucks). The facilities are also always clean and checked on a frequent basis. Shoutout to the ladies that were working this evening (after 6pm) they even grabbed me a croissant and cooked it downstairs for me. Exceptional service⭐️”

“Good spoons. Normal in terms of interior. Smoking in the back is a bit odd as some tables are no smoking. The food is normal spoons food but it was cooked hot and tasted nice. Desserts were good too.”

“Anas store manager is a very good team leader, he keeps everything clean, great communication with the customer, excellent behaviour with everyone. And Amna one of the staff members is so sweet, she always makes me and my mum clean fresh drinks, overall I’m so happy with this Costa they’re genuinely the sweetest.”

It’s definitely one of the busiest locations I’ve seen, but despite the rush, the food is always served hot and full of flavor. The quality and consistency never disappoint. The staff here are friendly and efficient, even during peak times. A special mention to the manager, Lori – she’s always been incredibly helpful whenever we’ve had any confusion or questions. Her professionalism really stands out. Highly recommend this branch if you're after great pizza and excellent service!”

“Saturday was the first night for the Cinema at St John’s. It was an amazing experience in a beautiful building with a welcoming friendly team of helpers. You don’t expect to find a proper licensed bar, hot dogs and a variety of delicious sweets and snacks in such a place. The screen is huge and the sound is as good as any cinema that I have been to and they had subtitles. I will definitely be there next time on 19th October for Bohemian Rhapsody.”
