“What a quietly dazzling place this is. There’s something wonderfully conspiratorial about stepping through that modest entrance, as though you’re being let in on a secret. The evening began with a generosity that’s actually become rare in fine dining - an extra splash of sauce here, a little more wine there - no questions, no charge, and not in excess, but with the sort of intuitive hospitality that says, “We’re glad you’re here.” It wasn’t about selling a product, or ticking boxes of ‘luxury’ and ‘innovation’; it was about making an experience breathe. The fish-focused menu was, quite simply, divine. Each plate felt considered but never contrived. The chef’s attention to detail was everywhere, not only in the precise cooking but in the courtesy and conversation that accompanied it. He seemed genuinely invested in the pleasure of his guests, which lent the whole evening a warmth too often missing from Michelin-minded establishments. In short, Behind is a restaurant that remembers why restaurants exist at all: to nourish, to delight, and, if only for a few hours, to make the world feel exquisitely well-arranged.”

“I went on monday to get a navel piercing and Rick was the best! He explained to me everything that he was going to do, he kept everything clean and sterilized and he even showed me that the needle and the plank were closed before using them. He was so so nice and it’s clear that he’s a professional. I’m so happy with my experience there, I definitely recommend it and I would come back if I weren’t from Spain.”

“Lovely food here. Nice atmosphere with great food. The beef short rib was very soft and tender, the loaded chips with pulled beef was great and very unique to all others I have tried. The lamb shank roast was great too. The chefs know what they are doing. Its fully halal too, with no alcohol.”

“Stopped here during my last day of London and I decided to stop by as the Dishoom restaurants was highly recommended to try in London and London is known for phenomenal Indian food. This place did not disappoint! Okra fries were nice and crisp, charred lamb chops were great, and the chicken ruby had great flavour with a good spice kick. Service was excellent as the waitress took her time to explain the menu and the best way to order and to put combinations of meals together as their menu can get complicated. Definitely should book a reservation ahead of time, we went in at 4pm and it was not really busy.”

“Manthan completely changed the way I think about Indian food. Their £30 Festive Linner is incredible value — six well-executed dishes with Michelin-level finesse. The Ghati Masala Prawns and Buttermilk Chicken were standout starters, and the Tulsi Chicken Chop was beautifully grilled. Both mains were flavourful and comforting, especially with the dal, rice and paratha on the side. Service was warm, and the peacock-blue townhouse setting in Mayfair feels elegant without being pretentious. A fantastic spot for refined Indian dining at a very reasonable price.”

“Tucked away along a quiet stretch of the Regents Canal in Islington’s eastern edge, Caravel is a great kitchen offering wonderful meals in a cozy canal boat. The dining room is big enough to accommodate quiet couples sharing a romantic dinner or a small group having a festive night out. They’re not reinventing the wheel here, but they are serving generous portions of exquisitely prepared food. Excellent service too.”

“I had a wonderful experience at Tampopo in London. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, authentic flavours and beautifully presented dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, ideal for both a casual meal and a special occasion. A special mention must go to Maisha, who looked after us so well. She was attentive, polite and genuinely warm throughout our visit, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Service like that really makes a difference ✨✨ I’ll certainly be returning and would highly recommend Tampopo to anyone looking for excellent Asian food paired with first-class service.”

“This place never fails to deliver quality at all levels. Their food is stunning and very very reasonably priced. The sharing taco platter with two drinks was £30 and was plenty enough for 2 people. The service was rapid and attentive but not overbearing. The whole place is really vibrant and well decorated. This is by far my favourite place in Guildford.”

“We first tried Rayuela back in September, and it ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had in London. For context, I’m French and have spent a lot of time in Spain, so I’m not easy to impress when it comes to food. Everything we tried was authentic and of incredible quality, plus they have a really good selection of wines too. It is reasonably priced and good value for money, especially compared to how much you end up paying for an average meal at the pub these days. We ended up hosting a big family dinner there (20+ people), everyone was so pleased and we really felt looked after by the team.”

I got the three meats which was so good, the sauce is to die for, and the chilli sauce on the side was a lovely addition (not very spicy at all) they have their own beer too which was really nice, the can design was quite cool the service was good too, overall great place to grab lunch, will be going back sometime soon”

“Friendly service and an excellent almond milk cappuccino. Really sizable compared to more hipster locations but perfect foam and a “fruitier” espresso blend which was really nice. Lots of seating and not crowded on Saturday around noon. They also offer beans to go.”

“Incredible pizza stop with wonderful service and great atmosphere. It is subtly dim and minimalist in a nice way, with consistent views to the roaring pizza oven. Pizzas are 20" super thin base and a thick puffy crust, it is absolutely wonderful BUT MEANT TO BE SHARED. While I was able to go through a whole pizza on my own, many will not and they will happily warn you. If you are going simply you can happily order by the slice but if you want to share some more complex options, go for half and half and get stuck in! Decent cocktail selection too, they do have dessert options but I did not give them a go. High recommend and absolutely will go again!”

“Really enjoyed the lunch with my wife :) The place is really clean and friendly staff. The prices are similar to higher end Japanese restaurants but for the new flavours and how amazing they taste, well worth it! The wagyu was pricey but does not have the same spectrum of flavours as everything else. (It is also very small portion). But I cannot drop any stars for that, as everything was just perfect. Totally solid sushi and Maki. Perfect for lunch Would very much come back again”
