“An Italian style coffee shop. Excellent coffee which is smooth and strong. The cakes are really great and home made. Very reasonable price as well. The lunch options are paninis, sandwiches and salad bowls, plus baked potatoes and priced between £3.50 and £8.50. Cakes £2.90 Coffees around £2-3 with Americano £2.40 and cappuccino £2.70. This is a friendly cafe with outdoor seating and ideal for coffee and cake whilst out shopping or light lunches with friends. A really lovely addition to this fast improving High Street.”

“I went in on Saturday for a pre-football brunch. The place was lively, the service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was top-notch, the eggs beans and bubble were delicious. And we got a 2-2 draw,, which was a great result.”

“Went for brunch on Sunday without a reservation. Had to wait for about 10-15 Mon for a table for 4 but all worth it. Had smashed avocado and American pancakes, my other half had pulled pork. “This was my third visit to The Kings Head in Sevenoaks within just a couple of months, and there’s a very good reason I keep coming back. I travel all the way from Farnham, which is a 50-mile trip, but it’s absolutely worth it every time. I’d probably go further if they asked nicely. The pub has everything you’d hope for from a proper village pub. The building is beautifully traditional, full of character, and in the summer the garden is a genuinely lovely place to sit and unwind. The staff are consistently excellent, friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in making people feel right at home. There’s also a solid selection of real ales and lagers, which never disappoints. My first visit was at the tail end of summer, when I sat in the garden for lunch and was instantly taken with the place. A couple of weeks later I returned for an evening meal and was so impressed that I decided to relocate our annual family remembrance gathering here. We came as a group of 11 for lunch on Saturday 15th November, and even though the pub was very busy, the service was faultless. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and had a great sense of humour, which is essential when dealing with our lively family. The team here didn’t flinch. Even though the pub was busy, service stayed top-notch and dishes arrived far quicker than I expected. Miracles do happen. All the dishes we ordered arrived promptly, and every one of us commented on the generous portion sizes (a rarity these days!) and the superb quality. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. I had the cod stew with chorizo and crispy kale, which was an absolute standout — beautifully balanced and bursting with flavour, like a little firework display in a bowl. I followed it with an apple crumble and custard, which met the approval of even our most serious crumble connoisseurs. And, to top it all off, the bill was a very pleasant surprise. It’s refreshing to enjoy food and service of this standard without feeling like you’ve been mugged on the way out. The Kings Head is a place I genuinely love. Traditional, welcoming, great food, great staff, and great value. I’ll happily keep making the 50-mile journey, it’s become a firm favourite of mine.”

“I've been coming to Clipmason for my haircut for 15 years now. I also take my 6-year-old son there for his haircut. He is autistic, and Danny, the owner, makes him comfortable and talks to him throughout his time in the chair. The other barbers do the same when Danny isn't available. All the barbers are professional and highly skilled in their work. The shop is spacious and very clean. The people there are very respectful and friendly. Without a doubt, they're one of the best barbers in the industry.”

“I had had a busy day about in Bromley and arrived early from that to a reservation I'd made that day for early dinner (18:15). Prices were properly reasonable for such fine dining. The presentation of each course was spot on, I'd even say en place, buuuuut not my element at this time. The maître d' was professional and courteous. I felt a bit under-dressed but braved through and they brought no attention to this and treated me. At some spirit auguery advice, my royal self reluctantly avoided steak this evening, going instead from chef's suggestion menu, the seared scallops and then sea bass. The scallops were grilled, and tender rather than rubbery as I sometimes 'expect' of scallop. I'd had some grilled halloumi around lunch tiem, and joked that scallops would be right out to pair with halloumi. I think there is this. The sea bass were served seared with skin on, and a sweet tomato salsa, with a potato tower of some kind. Service were quiet and excellent. I did not once feel rushed and I NEEEEED to return for some côte de boeuf or rib-eye some day soon. This should be written. I'll be needing dress better suited. “This place surely isn't the biggest or most privately contained cafe in a hospital, but that really is the beauty of it. Run by volunteers, these people were wonderful to talk to, and not only to see them with the choice to dedicate this time, but simply considering how long some have lived for (e.g. age 92), and how good their health is. Onto the actual cafe! The price of food here from sandwiches to cafe drinks is the type of reasonable I am expecting and am so happy to see, when comparing to such, including the Costa in the hospital. In my opinion that includes the range of cakes, biscuits and bars too! Having my [veg] sandwhich toasted made it extra fulfilling, and the cappuccino was super! And it gets better: All profits made, go to a certain division of the hospital. More people should visit this cafe to appreciate the efforts devoted by volunteers here. Hospitals should have more affordable, lovingly run cafe's like this! Obviously that doesn't even have to be as a patient!”

I just heard they will be giving up the business at the end of this week as the landlady is being difficult and will not renew their lease, she is turning the place into flats. All about greed!
