“Very nice coffee shop within the court yard of the Oakland Rise apartments. It's very hidden away from anyone outside the apartment area. The atmosphere inside is a very nice, slightly industrial setting with an open floor area where small events are held. It was quiet during my visit, with some music playing in the background. The coffee is good, and there is an option for plant milk. There are also some vegan options for some small food items. The staff is very nice. A true hidden gem.”

“Thank you Winter Bear for beautifully restoring a vintage chest of drawers. Sofie and Will helped with identifying good deals on ebay. Their communication has been fantastic throughout. They also created a colour board so that I could choose the perfect colour. The job took about 2 to 3 weeks which involved painting and changing handles. I will definitely be asking Winter Bear to help with any future projects.”

“I purchased a table from Haydon, which I am really happy with. It arrived in the estimated time frame and looked just like the pictures. It feels and looks like great quality and more special than what you see in the shops for a very reasonable price. It actually looks nicer than ones I viewed and almost bought in some upmarket furniture stores and also feels better built. It included a bench to fit under which was good value. Assembly of the legs was easy as the holes were already drilled and just needed screwing in. He did us a custom size as his standard ones weren't quite right for us, which was great. I have had it for 4months now and no issues at all. Would buy from here again.”

The cappuccino was superb too, perfect temperature, great taste, and rich aroma. “What a find! This friendly Thai chef has created a real Thai street food gem in the heart of Epsom! I love the simple menu, which will cater for most people (not trying to do too many things, just a short select menu, done really well!). All cooked fresh, and very fast service. Got the pad thai with chicken and prawns. Noodles were light and full of flavour and chicken and prawns delicious. “My partner and I dined at Smoke & Salt to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We opted for the “Culture” tasting menu. Every dish was exquisitely presented and perfectly seasoned. All came out in good time even though it was a Saturday evening. What made it really special was the hospitality of the restaurant staff. The chef came out and welcomed us and explained each dish to us. You can tell the genuine passion they have for food at this restaurant, and every dish is made with precision and care. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for us as it was a peaceful environment and we could have a conversation easily, which you don’t get with many restaurants in London! The ambience of the restaurant, the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the food really makes for a special and unforgettable experience. Fantastic from start to finish.”

“Went here for dinner on a Friday night. It gets busy so if you can make a reservation! Food was delicious, we had 2 starters and 2 types of tacos with non-alcoolice drinks and the bill came up to ~£50. Staff was friendly and I'd happily go back again!”

Food came quickly and super tasty! Interior deco is very authentic. “We had dinner here on a Sunday night so it was very quiet. Nevertheless we were greeted by Arvin who was a great host and explained that it was family run and that showed as the food here is very good and they obviously care about their product. Each dish has its own distinctive flavour and colour. We had the lamb rogan josh which was excellent. I also had their special chicken dish. The chicken was tender and succulent and I could not fault it. This is a great restaurant and we will return. I just wish we had gone to it before!”

“We have twice travelled far just to go to this lovely little restaurant. Authentic Italian food - truffles, which are hard to come by - and friendly owners. A very small restaurant but it is charming and unique, and the food and wine are great. A refreshing change from the many big chain restaurants out there!”
