“For the price? Compared to other shoes in its target demographic? It is unbeatable. For example, £20 for a pair of work shoes. The quality depends on the type of shoe, but browse around, try them out - I was really happy with the pair I bought. The staff were kind enough and the environment, although lacklustre had a slow charm to it... like it stopped in time and we only had to enter to experience nostalgia. Although the marketing could do with some work, one of the shoe brands was called 'hobo' i think - i personally as a customer really do not want to be associated with that word. But that is me just being picky, I hope this store and company continues to exceed expectations. Also, don't expect trendy stuff here. I think the target audience are professionals, employees, people in education and people who need unbranded bland shoes (which hits that market well if i do say so myself). Trendsetters need not enter. But if it floats your boat, go ahead.”

“Got held up in roadworks and arrived on the dot of 7pm as store was closing. All staff went above and beyond so i could collect my online item needed for child's holiday. They had already closed the till but reopened it for me. During this and other visits, all staff on the click and collect and menswear were amazing. There is one more reserved member of staff who seems less in tune with customers but that won't detract from this well earned 5 star review. You never know what's going on for people and she did her job. Not everyone can smile all the time and i didn't take it personally. All the other team members were amazing. “Other Kids is a beautifully curated and designed local business. They are extremely knowledgeable, and provide expert advice on sizing / fit / style. The selection of shoes / clothes and other bits (books / puzzles / seasonal bits - eg bucket / spade etc) is excellent given that it is not a huge shop! It’s an absolute go to for us for school shoes and sandals - we’re extremely lucky to have a unique shop like this in Leigh! Highly recommended to anyone!”
