“I received a lovely warm welcome in store. It looked and smelt devine. It’s just so beautiful inside. I browsed happily in a relaxed unhurried way. I was offered help but preferred to look myself. This store has a great selection of brands that I hadn’t seen before. It’s a wonderful independent boutique that has so much to offer if you’re looking for something special or some elevated everyday wear. It also has some fabulous resort wear. I was looking for a shirt to dress up and wear with jeans. The Gate Boutique had the perfect crisp white one by Second Female. It is excellent quality, and beautiful soft cotton that looks smart. There were a few I liked and was able to try in a lovely curtained changing cubicle. It was really well priced too. The Gate gives great customer service with just the right amount of friendly attention without any pressure to buy. I came away delighted by my shopping experience and my perfect shirt which is my firm favourite now. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend popping in.”

“Exceptional Hospitality and a Truly Comfortable Stay We visited the hotel for 3 nights for a company conference which was being held there. It was just over an hour from London centre on the train, or uber so we took the advantage of going into London centre while we were over there. All of the staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. From the warm welcome we received at reception very late on, after a long and difficult journey, to the attentive and efficient food and beverage team, every interaction was a pleasure. We were honestly pleasantly surprised, this was one of the nicest experiences we’ve had at a in this country, and we’ve stayed in many hotels here. The level of service and genuine hospitality really stood out. The hotel has been recently been refurbished and although it hasn’t lost its traditional feel, it feels lovely, clean and modern. Our family room was very spacious! It was probably one of the hottest weekends of the year, so we were relieved to find a decent fan in the wardrobe which kept the room cool. The beds were really comfy and it was nice that the extra bed wasn’t a sofa bed, as our daughter is nearly 18. The room for our conference was lovely with a stunning balcony which elevated the room and the food was excellent! Highly recommended!”

“We got a takeaway recently from Shangri La. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming. We gave her my name and straight away she knew the order and confirmed it back to us! She was very chatty and helpful. The food didn’t take long either. It was ready within 15 mins of ordering. We ordered some Thai food which was very tasty! We will be ordering from them again!!!”

“Went to Gant Friday ( 25/01/25) my husband was looking for s specific type of boots. The young gentleman who served was absolutely brilliant! Fantastic customer service.... They had the exact style boot he wanted and in half sizes also which is an absolute plus! He also purchased a jumper but they didn't have his size in store so the young gentleman ordered it online for him. On top of the excellent customer service provided by thus gentleman the jumper arrived today so supergrass service there also! Well done Gant cannot fault you”

“A recently refurbished travelodge, had everything we need for a night in Dorking. The Tesco next door was handy for breakfast items. A short walk 10-15 mins to the main or Deepdene station and similar into Dorking centre. Would stay again”

“I visited the Guildford Parkway Beefeater restaurant on Wednesday 19th November. I was not particularly hungry so a meal from the children's menu sufficed. This was steak chips, peas and mini corn on the cob. The food was delicious and very promptly served. K-C was my waitress and was extremely professional and polite. That said, this applied to all the staff and the atmosphere was very relaxing. In particular I consider that the meal was excellent value for money at £6-99. As an example, I recently paid £9+ for a McDonald's meal. Food was good, and service prompt,  BUT, as with all such restaurants, I had to eat with my fingers from a paper bag. At the Beefeater, I have a proper plate and cutlery, and service was just as quick as at McDonald's. Also, yesterday, before dining at the Beefeater, I visited my local Costa. Staff are very pleasant, however I paid £12+ for coffee, cheese cake and a toasted sandwich. In other words, almost twice the cost of a "real" Beefeater meal! Plus, again I had to eat with my fingers! So, overall, many thanks and I look forward to my next meal at Guildford Parkway.  Allan Woolston.”

“I went into st.peters a few weeks ago now. Just wanted to thank all the women on the Cedar ward and the nurses in SDEC. I was only there for 4 nights but was amazed at how hard they work and how kind they are to the patients. i was quite nervous to be staying overnight as it’s my first time ever being in hospital for myself and you all played a part in making me feel safe and calm. thank you again!”

“Solid staffing and best service. Of the many practical, good things, like parking, seating and text notifications, the most significant is the staff. Good staffing goes unnoticed sometimes, and no doubt unappreciated. A competent staff is one thing, but here, the staff are exceedingly patient and accommodating, and there is huge peace of mind in that.”
