“L'Atelier is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in SW London! I can't believe I haven't visited earlier. My friend from Denmark came over and I wanted to take her somewhere special. We were a few mins late which was no trouble for owner Philip who greeted us with a warm smile. I wasn't drinking and he made us the most exquisite mocktails. We shared scallops and green lentils and a chicken tagine with couscous and since it was January, just poured over the dessert menu, vowing to return when we were keen to satisfy our sweet tooth. If there's one restaurant you try in the Balham, Wandsworth, Tooting area, try L'Atelier on Trinity Road - the vibe as soon as you step in is so chilled and Philip and Mona (who I later had the pleasure to learn is the Chef and Philip's wife) are the loveliest hosts. It's like we were transported to a little piece of Moroccan heaven for a couple of hours.”

“Went Sunday night and it was quiet inside but the food did not disappoint at all. This will now become my goto Turkish even though I live close to yaprak in eastcote I think this is worth the 20 minute drive for the better food. Price is similar. I thought the seasoning and quality of the meat was better. Next time I am bringing my kids to see what they think but I think they will agree”

“"I recently visited famous biryani ,Feltham one and was blown away by the delicious food and exceptional service! The biryani was cooked to perfection, with flavorful basmati rice and tender meat that just fell apart. But what really impressed me was the variety of other dishes they offer - the curries were rich and creamy, the kebabs were juicy and flavorful, and the naan bread was perfectly fluffy. The service was also top-notch - the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. From the spicy kick of the vindaloo to the creamy richness of the korma, every dish was a delight. “We went on a Friday night for our Anniversary, the weather had been great but we sat inside and it was nice and cool. There was a DJ playing old skool RnB which was a nice touch. The staff were super friendly and we met the owner, who was really lovely and very passionate about the food. The croquette were amazing and very authentic, we also had tacos to start which were delicious. The tiramisu ( which I’m always a big fan of as a dessert) came with a Japanese twist but was inspired and also really delicious. A great spot and well worth checking out for an intimate meal, big party or even a family dinner.”

“A truly wonderful experience! As soon as we sat down, they brought out a free soup and salad before we even ordered — such a generous touch that made us feel really welcome. The portions are huge — one main dish is easily enough for two people! Prices are very reasonable, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was both professional and genuinely friendly. On top of that, the place itself is beautiful. Highly recommended!”

“First time visiting and loved it. Quirky with a 70s/80s feel but beautifully set tables and silver service that you don't often get these days. It was really nice to have vegetables served individually from silver platters rather than dishes just dumped in the middle of the table. Took a star off service because I felt the wine waiter was sloppy. Great menu and plenty of GF options for me. I had queenies (small scallops) to start followed by calves liver and onions, which I hadn't had for ages but had a recent notion, so it was fortuitous that it was on the menu. I can't wait to go back.”

“Found this place on Google maps and thought we would try it out, ended up neing the best lebanese food I've had in London. Everything was so delicious from the cold starters to the grilled plates. Really good value and will definitely be visiting again!”

It arrived piping hot and bursting with flavour. The service was outstanding 10/10. My waiter, Qayima, was incredibly polite and made the entire experience truly enjoyable. “This is my new favourite cafe!! It's got so much better over time. I must Go there atleast once a week or I start missing it!!! Have tried a lot of other cafes but this is the best one so far. “One of the Best Indian Restaurants in London! We went last night for my husbands Birthday and it was fabulous. Food delicious, service excellent. When we arrived early the restaurant was empty and got nervous but it quickly filled up and when the food arrived it was faultless and amazing value!! Would recommend to my family and friends alike.”

“I've eaten here a few times now with a group of friends and we have always had a fabulous time. The duck is the best I've ever eaten and my rare steak was perfect. The cocktails take a moment but are worth waiting for. There are usually six of us who eat together and a couple of them can be quite fussy but we regularly come back to Alcedo as we have never had a complaint from our group. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional.”

“Cute neighborhood spot with delicious food! I’ve been on the lookout for a nice restaurant in this area. I feel like a lot of places are either super touristy or overpriced and not very tasty. I’m so happy I found this gem. We went for lunch on a Friday and had some Santorini wine to go with the hummus. The restaurant felt comfortable and I enjoyed the large window at the front. As we were talking away, eating out hummus. We ordered the Greek salad and musaka. Both the bright salad and musaka were excellent. I feel like I took a trip to Mykonos for my Friday afternoon. We also got to try the spicy feta and eggplant dip, which is really recommend. The server was really lovely and he made our experience 10/10. I would definitely be back.”

“Really beautifully cooked high quality steak. This is the 220g fillet steak which I had with salad. Also ordered a side order of Macaroni cheese. Everything on the plate was perfection. Nice ambience too with low level lighting and pleasant service. Reasonable prices too, £55 per person each within our party of 6 which included a drink each. Will definitely return.”

Service 5 star, all mains arrived together and service was quick. Prices, reasonable, would highly recommend. Update, came back had the chicken penne pasta, just as good.”

“We visited Sofreh in Chessington as a family and were blown away by the experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming the staff truly looked after us throughout the evening. The food was exceptional fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavour. I ordered the momtaz, which came with both koobideh and chicken joojeh served with naan absolutely delicious. My daughter chose the joojijeh with rice, and she loved every bite. We rounded off our meal with some beautifully fragrant Iranian tea, which was the perfect end to a fantastic dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic Persian food with excellent service, Sofreh is a gem worth visiting. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Have been looking for a good chinese restaurant nearby areas. They do not exist anymore Came here just on a whim. Used to come here when it was Lido never enjoyed it. However This restaurant hit all the spots. The food was exactly what I was craving for. The service was so nice. The 2 ladies in front of house were so welcoming and friendly. I managed to get one ladies name (vicky) she was fantastic. Go here will not disappoint. Will be back soon :))”
