Nights out in Twickenham

“Twickenham Jazz Club is the best in West London and based in Twickenham near the station. Lesley Christine who runs the club books excellent bands , who are all experienced and impressive musicians. Last night’s was superb and featured the Alex Hutton & Nicolas Meier Quartet. The atmosphere is moody and perfect for listening to great jazz. If you like jazz then I couldn’t recommend it more highly! Richard”

“We went to the restaurant a couple of weeks ago as we wanted to try some authentic Italian food. The service is provided directly by the owner and it feels like you were in some place in Italy. Food was the best quality we have tried in the UK. Again, it makes you feel you are in Italy. The chef cuisine was fantastic and the even combined one of the pizzas with the famous “Porchetta”. Being Spanish, I felt the taste and warmth of the Mediterranean. Really pleased with the experience and 200% recommended”

“We visited The Turks Head and were impressed by the warm and friendly service. The pub has a cozy atmosphere and charming character. The outdoor garden area was particularly enjoyable, providing a perfect spot to relax with a drink. The live music was an added bonus, enhancing the overall experience.”

“Served by a lovely girl with curly hair in a ponytail and hoop earrings, I assume she was new from how her coworkers were talking to her, but she was brilliant nonetheless, perfect service from her. Especially in comparison when we first came to the bar and none of the servers came to us for at least 3 minutes”

“Visited this pub after the Womens Rugby World Cup Final and despite being understandably very busy the service and the staff were brilliant, can't fault anything about the Admiral Nelson, would deffo recommend 100% whether you're visiting Twickers or not”

“Lovely little Italian spot in Twickenham! We had pizzas. Especially enjoyed the Caprino, which was packed with flavour. Finished off with a delicious tiramisu and a smooth limoncello. Great food and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!”

“My dining experience at Shuili in Twickenham was nothing short of amazing. The restaurant has a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. We had a wonderful family dinner at Shuili. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making it a great spot for kids as well. The menu had something for everyone, and the food was outstanding. The food was fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. The Burrata Chaat was a delightful surprise, loved equally by the kids and adults. Choosing a favourite between the lamb chops and the jumbo prawns was no easy task but if I had to pick, the lamb chops edged ahead with impeccable flavour, perfect texture and presentation. I would highly recommend Shuili for anyone looking for a memorable meal!”

“Really good Thai food with great flavors, and they were happy to accommodate special requests. Not cheap, but definitely worth it and highly recommendable. Try the coconut rice as a side - mouth watering!”

“Lovely surprise! We have lived in the area for years and never tried the restaurant under the new management before. We liked the mussels and prawns dishes a lot. Pizza and Parmigiana were nice as a main but not as much as the starters, those were top. The chef must be really good skilled in handling fish dishes I guess, and we'll definitely be back to try more. Service was attentive and not obtrusive.”

“We stopped by Greek Cook & Grill after a day exploring Teddington, Kingston, and Richmond, and it was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. The service was genuinely top-notch, and every dish we tried—from the chicken souvlaki and sea bream to the saganaki, baklava, and portokalopita—was delicious. Great wine and friendly vibes made it a perfect end to a busy day. Highly recommend!”

“We recently visited Green Bottle Cafe and were truly impressed with everything. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing — we felt right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and prepared with great care. The service was fast, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. “Visited on a Thursday for Irish music night. The pub is lit with candles. It’s cosy and atmospheric. Music started around 9.30pm and it was traditional Irish music. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the toilets were clean. Outside garden available if needed.”

“Went there for lunch. Aged ribeye steak and chargeilled chicken breast are delicious. Lunch menu has a lot of choices. Good food and atmosphere with nice music. Gelato is yummy.”

“Really lovely pub where the Sunday lunch is epic! I didn’t even take a picture of my pie but it was incredible - completely homemade and will defo return! If you want a full Sunday Roast then you need to book - but we were lucky there were pies available for the walk-ins! Staff super friendly and attentive and food incredible! AJ’s Pies are perfect!”

“We had our Work Christmas Lunch on 18/12/2025, the Christmas menu was AMAZING! Plenty of food on the plate, we ordered some extra trimmings, which wasn't necessarily needed but definitely happy we had them as the food was sooo good we just could stop eating! Service was friendly and the whole lunch was a success. All my team commented afterwards how great the Christmas Lunch was this year. Thank you very much!”

“An excellent Sunday lunch at The White Swan. Not that many tables, so we'd reserved for 3x in advance, but just a few days before. The weekend before Christnas, so we were pleased to be fitted in. A lovely table right by the bar, immediately friendly service, a drink for me, whilst waiting for the rest of the party. The Sunday roasts were excellent, great pudding as well. Highly recommended ...”

“Malaysian cuisine! Friendly staff and makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable to dine in. Try Makan Makan Fried Rice and tea (hand mixed by Michelle) There's also a Fried Mars Bar!? Worth a try! Restaurant is a bit small with about 5 tables. Reasonably priced.”

“A great place to go pre-match at Twickenham. I had linguine, was lovely, the tomatoes tasted great. Next time though I would order some garlic bread. Nice traditional pub decor.”

“This hotel/pub it was a nice random place that surprised us with a delicious burger and a nice kind of relaxing atmosphere. Kind of because it is by the main road, but relaxing because it was sunny, you can see Thames river over the road and enjoy a pint and some food. The staff was friendly, quite helpful, and polite even they were massively understaffed and they were running all over. The management should do their job better and not exploy their people, but ot might be the exception as it was a sunny day and lots of people joined us so this time I will not consider this in my review. We will update it if we return, and it will be a similar situation. Parking is available on the back of the hotel or on the side streets, but with limited access.”

“Went there with the family, I had the chicken pizza and the amazing volcano Pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. The complementary olives and the tasty small bread were as tasty as well. Cant recommend the place enough. The staff was friendly and experience. you should definitely try it soon.”

“I had an amazing experience at the pizzeria this past Friday! The place looks absolutely fantastic after the recent renovation — modern, cozy, and with a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. A special shout-out to Vitória, who provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Her positive energy added so much to our evening! And of course, the pizza… it was simply delicious! Perfectly baked, with fresh ingredients and rich flavors that really stood out. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended — can’t wait to come back!”

“I’m a big fan of this local pub. I used to live just around the corner, and it truly felt like a second home — or even a cosy grandparents’ house. It’s surprisingly spacious, with chic dried flower arrangements on every table (even the cutlery boxes are lovely). The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, smiling, and attentive — not overbearing, just genuinely kind and efficient. They regularly rotate seasonal beers, so there’s always something new to try, and the food is consistently good. You can watch sports on TV, play darts, enjoy a few board games, and there’s even something to keep the kids entertained. A proper gem of a pub.”

“Franklyn is the BEST! From the moment we arrived he was so lovely, kind, and genuinely made our whole experience amazing. He went above and beyond for us, and when a man started bothering us, Franklyn handled it in the kindest, quickest and most professional way possible. We were super impressed by how calm and caring he was, and it honestly made us feel so safe and looked after. People like Franklyn are rare – he truly made the difference and turned our night into something special. Couldn’t recommend him more! Coming back thanks all to him. “I am a local and go to this chip shop sometimes. The food is delicious and they have things that you normally wouldn’t find in a chip shop. And I hope soon that the kebab side off the shop will be open soon. They have been working on it for months and I am very excited. I am a drawer and one time I drew their logo(I’m not saying you should do this so plz don’t try it) but I got a small free chips which was really nice(it also helped that I am a local and the owner knows me quite well). I am very please. I forgot to take a photo but if you look at the other reviews you will see. Thanks”
