“My two children have attended Alphablocks Hadley Wood Association centre for a while now and have flourished and developed into such strong and independent girls. One already started primary school and has settled amazingly and is doing so well with her phonics. The forest school on Wednesdays is especially a highlight of the week. “I haven’t looked back since I joined Forever. Richard is a genius. His teaching is excellent, second to none, it’s so absorbing, extensive and endless such as technique, balance, character of dance, turns, swivels, spirals, leading, following, the hold , posture, count, timing , hip rotation pendulum action, swing, sway , foot positioning etc covering the wide array of Latin American and Ballroom dances in International style.I am totally engrossed. It’s of immense value to me. My friends and family have all commented that I have grown from strength to strength as a dancer in relatively short time 9 months and leaps and bounds compared to other places. Together with Jeni, I have all angles covered. Both are really attentive to the students in private classes and group classes to make sure we get it right, never taking their eyes off the ball, they don’t miss a thing. It’s quite exceptional how they focus on men and women in equal measure. One revelation to me is learning how to dance beautifully with anyone of any experience or standard , whether an absolute beginner or an advance professional dancer. . The Gala, Cabaret and Medal Nights are so slick, setting, choreography, lighting, photography. It’s so exciting to take part. One of the benefits of dancing, I find, is emotional and mental well-being which positively impacts all other areas of my life and which no medication can prescribe without serious side effects. The only serious side effect of this is becoming a FABULOUS DANCER.I am thrilled for myself that I am at Forever.”

“A group of us go to the cafe after our Nordic walk in nearby Trent Park. Its run by volunteers, so friendly and nice. The food and drinks are lovely, especially the home made cake.”

“I've been training here on the third year foundation course for just over half a term now and honestly could not be happier. Training in fully equipped studios just a couple of minutes away from west end theatres that we have already taken trips to see shows at is something I feel so lucky to be able to do. At Bodens, I've been challenged and stretched by teachers more than I ever have in my education so far, but in a way where I feel supported in everything I do and recognised for every success. Having come from a huge secondary school and sixth form college, it's brilliant to be in small classes where I feel that every tutor knows me and wants me to do well-be it in taking my next steps towards my future or improving on what I performed last week. There's a brilliant sense of community here with staff and students alike and I look forward to coming in every day. I could not be more thankful to be training here :)”

Not only do they manage prescriptions carefully but they are also there to help generally, provide vaccinations etc and be very accessible to answering questions; and they know who you are when you walk into their shop! I find dealing with them a pleasure; they are reassuringly proactive, supportive knowledgeable and kind.”

“This sort of coffee shop would not have existed in East Barnet Village (EBV) just 15 years ago. Things are changing, and for the better. Such a nice place to come and read, or talk with friends, or bring your laptop and do some work. The coffee is delicious (served at drinking temperature) and they have a girl who can draw anything on the top of it. A drosophila, a seal, a polar bear, a snowman, or a seahorse, a mouse, a house, even the big ball of hydrogen in the sky (the Sun), you name it, she can draw it. EBV is on the up. The only thing holding back businesses is the awful road - the road detracts from the experience of doing anything in the village. With time, this problem shall be solved. Elite cafe. Well worth a visit.”

“Angel Cafe is one of my favourite places to go. The staff are always so kind and welcoming, and the service is genuinely amazing every time. It’s such a lovely atmosphere really cosy and relaxing. The food is always fresh and delicious, and there’s such a great variety to choose from. You can tell a lot of care goes into everything, and it’s just a really nice place to spend time, whether you’re catching up with friends or just grabbing something on your own. Highly recommend!”

“I have been attending bodens for about five years now and in those five years I have learnt so many new skills. I currently attend their Saturday morning combined musical theatre classes from 10am-1pm and their tap dance classes on Mondays from 5pm-5:45pm. I also take part in Trinity musical theatre exams which I am very lucky and grateful to do. Bodens has given me many opportunities and taught me many things that I will use in everyday life and in the future. Being a student at bodens has helped my confidence grow massively. They never fail to produce incredible shows where every student is involved and having fun. All members of staff are lovely and are always nice . They encourage us to take risks in theatre and help us understand what life is like in the theatre industry. Not only are the staff kind, but the students are too; they are all very welcoming to new people and are always open to making new friends. I have really enjoyed every moment during my time at bodens so far, and I think other young people should get to experience this too.”

“We have been coming to Medivet Cockfosters for many years now and our 3 dogs are treated with such care. Staff all genuinely love animals and always take time to interact with the dogs first before any treatment. Communication is easy both via telephone or email. We get to request the same vet so there is continuity of care and knowledge of the pets, but on occasions when this is not possible we have had no issues with other vets. Thank you as always to Livia and the wonderful vet nurses at the practice.”

“Our two boys are thriving at Dolphin Swim School. Our eldest started by joining the crash course and has progressed quickly. Annie and her team are so focussed on the children and do everything they can to progress them. A really lovely environment for the kids and parents!! Couldn’t recommend this swim school enough, as well as learning the boys have lots of fun to !!”

“I am highly impressed with Bright Little stars Nursery-Barnet. The nursery has a really welcoming environment. The staff is really kind and professional at the same time. The facility it self is bright, clean and engaging. There are a lot of engaging and interesting activities for the children. I am really happy my child joined Bright Little Stars nursery Barnet as I see her really loving and bonding with the staff there. I would definitely recommend the nursery to every parent that wants their child to feel happy and comfortable.”

“Fabulous local deli. They have served the local community with great deli food and groceries for many years. Ignore any bad reviews regarding surly staff. This is a family owned business who work hard to serve the various communities in the area . I am a genuine local resident so believe me you will enjoy shopping in Cockfosters Deli who have worked hard to survive against competition from the big national brands invading our high streets including Cockfosters. We need local businesses like this and need to support them”

“This school is nothing short of MAGICAL. Our daughter started only a year ago as a dancer. Now she is developing skills in all areas of the performing arts, to allow her better job opportunities in the future. She says it is her safe space to be able to explore and grow in all her new areas. Susi Earnsahw's is more than just performing. It saved my daughter's life and changed our whole family's life. Never did we think our daughter would "want" to go to school. It is the most supportive and nurturing environment, which we will be forever grateful for. Now for a shocking piece of information... our creative dancer loves her... academic teachers as well as her vocational ones... She is encouraged, understood and praised for her efforts... this is the environment she needs to thrive in. We do not know how we will be able to thank Susi Earnshaw's Theatre School and all the gifted members of staff.”

“What a lovely place and service. Raj has been truly amazing in devoting his time and patience to desensitising my dog who was severly anxious of vet visits in the past. He has won his trust and confidence and can now be examined and treated while remaining calm - he is a different dog and Raj a "dog whisperer"! Also special mention to the reception staff who are always so friendly, especially Lizzie who never fails to greet us with a smile and genuine interest.”

“I am choosing to write these reviews since I need to emphasise that this school is not what it was before United Learning came in. Where else are you going to find a headteacher that remembers everybody's names, where the year 11s are going for sixth form, and what the kids' interests are? Mr Fairbairn has drastically improved this school by simply deciding to be an active headteacher, not giving kids excuses to do nothing, and ensuring everyone is learning. External cover teachers were rare during my time there. Mr Fairbairn even covered my physics class while they attempted to find a new physics teacher for my GCSE class. I joined in year 10. During my first GCSE art class, he took the time out to come up to me, greet me, talk to me about why I chose TTA, and even asked how my brother, who had left for sixth form at the time, was. This is just Mr Fairbairn. I won't even go on about the rest of the staff with how supportive, how caring, and how professional they all are. You have teachers like Mrs Palmer who has been at the school for decades and still has an absolute love for teaching and drive to inspire. There's a misconception that the school is a hotpot for crime and where all the misbehaved kids go, but trust me, this is not tolerated by the staff and is not true in the slightest. Thank you for supporting me, TTA.”

We have done: Teeth cleaning for my dog; Annual vaccinations; Emergency appointments; Blood tests; Surgery on my dog’s back area bc of a dangerous lump. Very happy to recommend them!”
