Professionalism in Sutton

“I visited the Boots Pharmacy store located at 2, Station Road, Cheam, Sutton, Surrey SM3 8SW (UK) on 18/08 to purchase some medication for my son (who could possibly be at risk of anaphylaxis due to repeated wasp stings. I keep emergency medication on hand in the event he is stung by a wasp again whilst we wait for a referral to an allergy specialist). My son was due to spend the weekend with his father, who had mislaid the medication that I had previously supplied. I spoke to the pharmacist, Sana, who advised me according to my son's needs and as I was due to make payment - I broke down into tears and was unable stop or catch my breath. She asked if I wanted to go into her consulting room, to which I agreed and she accompanied me in, sat me down, gave me tissues, listened to me talk, listened to my fears about my son being stung again by a wasp, hugged me and then gave me further professional medical advice (which I will follow up). After approximately 10 minutes I regained composure, paid for the medication and left. I suppose the point of this lengthy review is not only to illustrate her professionalism, knowledge and customer service, but also her humanity. If she had let me leave the store in a state of panic and anxiety, I could have easily not paid attention to crossing the road (for example) or crashed my car etc Her actions made a huge impact on me and I will be revisiting the store to thank her myself and I feel extremely strongly that she should be recognised for her actions.”

“Came here to watch one of our granddaughters who plays for Carshalton ladies ( 8 years) and was acting as a mascot for today's game against Herne bay.Special mention for Andy on the gate who found car space for us as my wife is disabled and in a wheelchair .And also to lady behind bar who changed water in my wifes hot water bottle. She needs this as she has severe back problems.Lovely people there. Shame it wasn't a win for Carshalton.”

“Probably one of the cheapest places to get a hand car wash. £15 for outside only of an SUV. It used to be £12!!! It’s definitely not the prettiest or cleanest service station but it does the job. Highly recommend. Especially over automatic car washes that run the risk of scratching your car.”

“My 9.40am appointment was obtained at the 8.30 slot for booking an appointment. Though in queue it took only 5 mins to get my appointment. I was seen just after 9.40am by Dr Pardhanani who is organising a hospital appointment in the next 2 weeks hopefully. Really pleased with the care offered also noting the friendliness of the receptionist.”

I’ve also had abscess drained here twice over the years, and each time the care and skill of the team were outstanding. I truly appreciate how professional and compassionate everyone is. “Have always found Doctors, Nurses, and Receptionists being very helpful and professional in their ways of my needs. Since Covid-19 my month medications have become worse due to no more Repeat Prescriptions ticked for collection. Computers now decide. Receptionists are the only way I can obtain what's not been obtained, causing more work for them. Receptionist are much respected and am grateful for their assistance.”

I arrived at 5.15 and was dealt with as soon as the pharmacist finished serving the customer in front of me. I left having had my Covid booster by 5.25pm. Excellent service. “I took my Roberts Radio in at 08;30am to get a ‘power issue’ addressed. When you do this sort of thing you wonder if you are going to get stiffed or not! I was very pleasantly surprised, the gentleman engaged in a conversation to understand more of the symptoms and then I left it with them. I was called later the same morning, to pick up the radio that had been fixed fixed and the cost much less than expected. Great service, will use again.”

“Well, what an experience. There is a very long wait and process to be seen, assessed and treated. I spent nearly 8 hours there. The queue started when I was trying to park in the visitor's car park. It takes a couple of hours before a nurse sees you and takes your blood pressure, pulse and temperature. Then another couple of hours later, a nurse takes some blood samples. Then it's another 2 hours before the results return. You are then seen by a doctor who discusses your situation and possible treatments or further investigations. There are a lot of patients there, all with their own problems and issues, all in need of urgent treatment. So, in the end, the wait is worth it as you get seen and your treatment can begin. I was given antibiotics and asked to return for a scan. The staff, nurses and doctors are very helpful and friendly. Next time, I will park nearby and walk as had to pay £20 for the car park.”
