    Rusty Bike Pub Chingford

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“Conveniently located just opposite from Chingford Train Station (Weaver Line) & the Chingford Bus Depot, the Rusty Bike is a great local neighborhood spot to grab a drink (decent replete selection) & chow down on either fresh Japanese or Thai food meal offerings. Fresh hand rolled sushi (am addicted to their Salmon Avacado Tobiko roll) and there’s also a good Thai food menu! Decent selection for anyone to enjoy and priced reasonably. Staff is friendly, attentive and there are usually live sports on multiple screen display. If in the vicinity (very close to the lovely Epping Forest park), do check out the Rusty Bike! Decor is also fun and quirky. Disabled WC on point!”

    Rusty Bike Pub Mile End

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“Rusty Bike Restaurant on Mile End Road provides a warm and casual dining experience with a cozy atmosphere. The service is friendly and attentive, making it a comfortable spot for a meal. I tried their Pad Thai, and it was well-executed. The noodles were cooked just right—soft yet with a bit of chew. The dish had a nice balance of flavors, with a hint of sweetness and savory notes that were enhanced by a squeeze of lime. The chicken pieces were tender and complemented the noodles well, along with fresh bean sprouts and crunchy vegetables, adding texture to each bite. While the Pad Thai was enjoyable, it could benefit from a bit more spice or tang to elevate the flavors further. Overall, Rusty Bike offers a good Pad Thai and a pleasant dining experience, making it worth a visit if you're in the area.”

    Chotto Matte London

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“Wow.....What a fantastic meal! - the offer with First Table is exceptional value for money. We ate like royalty and did not hold back.....nibbles, starters, sushi and mains - everything was simply delicious!! I highly recommend the Tuna Tostadas to start, what an immense way to get your taste buds going - the tuna was so fresh and the lovely hint of heat from the jalapeños.....yum! Other highlights were the Red Prawn Truffle - so light and yet packed with intense flavours and also the Spicy Buttermilk Chicken Karaage - so crispy and juicy. The Black Miso Cod of course was a true delight, with that deep, rich flavour coming throb with each bite - the slight charring on the edges giving a nice texture. If you have room for dessert, the Passionfruit Creme Brulee was stunning, beautifully presented, served with little diced cubes of fruit and tasted sublime. To note, the service was impeccable - our server was friendly, attentive, helpful and genuine. I will 100% be returning to Chotto Matte (especially with First Table), simply one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had. Use my code for £3 off your 1st booking..... 3LBMH2”

    Villa Mamas London

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“I had a wonderful experience at Villa Mamas. The moment I stepped inside, the space felt warm and inviting — relaxed, stylish, and with a touch of homely Gulf charm that sets the tone for the entire meal. It’s the kind of restaurant where you instantly feel at ease. The food was the standout. I ordered the machboos, and it was exceptional — beautifully seasoned, aromatic, and full of depth without ever feeling heavy. Every bite had that comforting home-cooked quality, but elevated with precision and balance. You can clearly taste the chef’s roots and passion in the way each dish is put together. The service was also excellent. Staff were attentive without hovering, and genuinely friendly. They guided me through a few menu recommendations and checked in just the right amount. It made the experience feel personal rather than routine. Overall, this is one of the best Middle Eastern meals I’ve had in London. Authentic flavours, generous portions, a great atmosphere, and a team that really knows how to make guests feel welcome. I’ll definitely be returning.”

    Alexander Pope Pub

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“This hotel/pub it was a nice random place that surprised us with a delicious burger and a nice kind of relaxing atmosphere. Kind of because it is by the main road, but relaxing because it was sunny, you can see Thames river over the road and enjoy a pint and some food. The staff was friendly, quite helpful, and polite even they were massively understaffed and they were running all over. The management should do their job better and not exploy their people, but ot might be the exception as it was a sunny day and lots of people joined us so this time I will not consider this in my review. We will update it if we return, and it will be a similar situation. Parking is available on the back of the hotel or on the side streets, but with limited access.”

    The Greyhound Pub

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“Although we visited with a very large party there was plenty of room for us all to be sat relatively close together! Considering we put in a lot of food and drink orders in a short space of time, the wait wasn’t longer than necessary at all. We had a look at the lunch menu and as soon as we noticed the battered haddock and tartar sandwich, we were sold! The haddock was perfectly cooked and crispy with a decent amount of tartar which complimented perfectly. Our side of fries was also extra yummy and served with wild garlic mayo which was amazing! Somebody else on our table ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese with many comments of how delicious it was; filled with a generous amount of salmon! Lastly and quite importantly we were very happy to see vegetable crudités and humous on the kids menu, as often it’s easy to order for young children but not necessarily for babies and this was a perfect option. We just asked for cucumber rather than the carrots to stay on the safe side, and they came in perfect slices - great for baby led weaning when out on the go. The humous was lovely and definitely tasted homemade! We will 100% be coming back here again:)”

Shown to the table which was a square table - perfect for this size group. Our waiter was really patient, really cheerful and very helpful, double checking our order and checking we had drinks! Food was served efficiently, altogether and not too long a wait. Good food. Overall a good experience and would do it again. Thank you”

“Me and the fam had a party there and honestly, beyond the delish food and the top-notch atmosphere, words aren't enough to say how kind and attentive the staff were to us. Anmor was a true ledge helping us set up the room early on and Grace and Simona were superstars keeping everything running smoothly during the actual event. Because of them, the night was even more special. You can bet good money on me coming back!”

“We came here to watch the Nations League final and the place is really lovely! The terrace at the back is a real bonus, and the staff were friendly even under the pressure of service (just two waitresses serving the whole pub! I’m a GM myself and honestly, I’ve rarely seen anything like it). The place is also pet-friendly, which is much appreciated, and the food is very good! If you live in the area, I 100% recommend it.”

“Love the beer selection and the tacos. I’ve always rated this pub and the previous owners, so this was big boots for the new owners to fill but I believe they have done it. The pub was never busy before, and I don’t believe it needed to be be but it is nice to see a big pub with more people in it. I think the biggest draw, is the pub now sells food. There are a lot more couples and families here now and it’s great to see. I think the beer and tacos are great and the atmosphere is nice and chilled.”

A really homey pub with wood panelled decor, cosy lighting and a magnificent silver bar If you come with 4 people to eat you may find yourself in one of 3 little private dining rooms which are very charming The roasts are to die for however I had the pork belly and it was too dry for my liking but all the trimmings were sensational We have lived locally for 7 years and never tried it!
