He could see that I was scared when I asked him to just take the tooth out, it has given me trouble for half of my life and I have always been scared to have the tooth removed but today I just wanted it out and the pain it causes me gone. “I can't recall meeting a kinder more caring GP, without exception or exaggeration. Dr Qureshi didn't just listen to me, I honestly felt heard, which is different, and cannot be underestimated. She was very easy to talk to. It was very clear to me that Dr Qureshi took an interest in my symptoms, as she asked me relevant follow-up questions. She was very reassuring and gave me lots of very helpful advice. She was so genuinely caring and addressed my concerns very thoroughly and knowledgeably. What really stood out though, was that despite the immense time pressures on GPs these days, at no point whatsoever did I feel rushed at all, not one iota. I was very worried and anxious about my symptoms before my appt, but came away from the consultation feeling so much more positive and hopeful. This was solely down to Dr Qureshi and her exceptional manner. There's hope yet for the NHS! :)”

“It is common knowledge that NHS is on its knees and that an average waiting time for an appointment is couple of weeks. That's why I ended up trying to deal with an insect bite turning nasty at home and kept dismissing family suggestions to get medical attention. Finally on a late afternoon on 28/08/25 I called surgery thinking this was going to be a waste of time. Well, it was amazing experience. Lovely and attentive lady receptionist listened and acted with due care. She directed me to another surgery, booked my appointment, send me location. I was seen by a doctor one hour later, got my prescription, was told where to go to get meds at that late hour. Everyone - reception team at Park Way surgery, reception team at Farley Road surgery, doctor at Farley Road surgery - were amazing. And that's not a word I use often in same sentence as "NHS", sadly. I called next day to thank the reception team. I understand the constraints but I can't help to be impressed by my experience.”

Dr Khan takes time to listen patiently and explain in a way that a patient understands their problem without feeling judged and dismissed. We all know that doctors have short appointments (10 mins only per patient) so they are very busy throughout the day and they are doing their best to see all patients on time, and like any other human beings they get tired. But when you get a kind and sympathetic doctor like Shazia Khan, at the end of consultation it feels like your problem has been solved rather than feeling guilty for calling the doctor. The reception and admin staff are very helpful as well.”

“First class service across the years . Medical professionals are superb . I don't understand the low ratings. This group of wonder workers quite literally saved my life . Blood ,problems, cancers and other vascular illnesses were swiftly and thoroughly pursued and pushed by the doctors exerting pressure on hospital consultants to check me . The hospital teams checked and started a long term investigation of the ailments. Luckily the problems were found and were surgically and medically treated. I am sorry for the people who have had problems , I wish you all of the best treatment possible. All I can say is in my case . Thank you to all of the staff at Gilet Road . I am forever grateful.”
