“Sushi is delicious and you can see the chefs are truley great at what they do. However we also ordered gyozas and seaweed which tasted straight from a packet, and the gyozas came cold. In future I’d only recommend eating sushi here, and skipping the sides, but the sushi is truley worth it. Staff are very helpful and kind. Manish was super helpful and Samuel kindly packaged up our leftovers. Highly recommend but just for sushi”

“Absolutely loved our meal here! The food was so fresh and flavourful — you can really taste that everything is made fresh. We had the chicken bún and two beef phởs, and both dishes were fantastic. The broth was rich and aromatic, and the chicken bún was perfectly balanced with fresh herbs and a delicious dressing. Friendly service and great portion sizes too. Definitely coming back!”

“Hawthorn is 100% your new go-to spot in Kew/Richmond. For some background, everyone who I was with for dinner had previously dined at the Glasshouse at some point in their lives, so when we all arrived for dinner at Hawthorn, we were intrigued about how it would compare… AND WOW our expectations were blown out of the water. Not only did we each quite literally lick the plates clean, but we all felt that each course was complex yet also felt so simple and just plain delicious. We heard that the restaurant just opened a couple of weeks ago, but the food tasted as if the chefs have been cooking together for years. Whether you are there for lunch or dinner, either set menu is incredibly well priced (especially when the food quality is at this level). The sommelier is incredible, suggesting perfect pairings for each course to accommodate every taste bud or finding a bottle that works with a table of diners who ordered a mixture of seafood and meat mains! Conveniently it’s also right next to Kew Gardens station or a short walk from Richmond station - very easy to get to and definitely worth a trip. What an amazing new restaurant in Kew!”

“Always been too lazy to head to this end of town, which is probably a mistake. Great coffee and nice, unobtrusive music in the background. No food for me but it looks like there were more than few options. Plenty of seating inside and outside. If you’ve no one to chat with then there’s all that vinyl to browse instead!”

“I went to this coffee shop few days ago, and ordered a cappuccino which was damn amazing. The latte art in that coffee was so good that I even took a picture of it. There was this guy named Parin who was a very good guy exceeding excellent hospitality to his customers. I recommend anyone and everyone to visit this coffee shop if you’re craving for fantastic coffee drinks.”

“Great little cafe, the food is amazing quality and very fresh. For London I can’t quite believe the prices, it’s so cheap and 100% worth every penny. I ordered a spanish chorizo and pepper omelette with a gorgeous fresh salad and all together it was £6.80, i’ve had similar meals before in other cafes and always paid more than £10. Food was delicious and service is always great. Very comfortable dine in area only it can be a little hot as the weather is warmer i’m hoping in summer there’s fan provided!! Also includes a little shop inside with lots of italian and other cuisines. Recommend this cafe for anyone, also great if you want to do work with your laptop here although i couldn’t see plugs so be aware!”

“lovely staff and good amount of seating area. i had the cinnamon roll more than once it was very nice! not everyone can perfect the roll but it suited my preference for it well. there’s an upstairs with a lighter environment great for doing work and a downstairs area which is a bit moodier but a nice place to read books just depending on your preference.”
