“Small but very nicely presented. The stairs going down to the bathrooms are very steep and not for people with difficulties moving. The pistachio Spanish latte was sweet and creamy.. very nice. Service was fast and friendly”

“Great little cafe that is next to Tate Britain but very cheap. Delicious spicy Mexican bean soup with bread £4. Delicious French style fruit tart under £3. So cheap and nice. Only a few seats inside but plenty of benches and some tables outside.”

    Maids Guest Rooms

    ★★★★☆ 4.2

“Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Maid Guest Rooms & what a little gem it is. Our room (King Suite 5) was immaculate & comfortable. The room was well equipped with Freeview TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron/ ironing board & fan. There was also a fully stocked mini bar (chargeable) The most impressive thing from arrival to departure was the first class service we received from all the staff who were helpful, polite, cheerful & would always have a chat. We had breakfast & high tea in the Original Maids of Honour tearoom both were delicious & plentiful, receiving a 20% discount as a guest.. On street parking is available & we were lucky enough to get a space directly outside the property. The parking permit is £5 per day which is available on arrival The rooms are ideally situated for a visit to Kew Gardens & into central London on the tube. For the best room rates would recommend you book direct & not through a booking site.”

Park Life Café - Clissold Park

    ★★★☆☆ 3.3

“This is a lovely cafe with 3 indoor-full of tables as well as outdoor tables. The staffs were both smily and nice. People were queueing keeping distance, one out, one in, without anyone telling. There were happy dogs there, and owners were chatting with other dog lovers. This area around the house is separated from other are by fences and gates. I was wondering why, but I noticed there were small signs saying "No dog in this area". I guess this is a generally ignored rule and I saw no problem with it. From what I am guessing, if anyone tries to follow the rule, they would have to turn these lovely dog owners away, and if one decides not to follow as it was pretty accepted by people who were there, they wouldn't say anything about it. I am just guessing there may be some troubles relating this...”

    Cafe Basmaccino

“Got a cappuccino and bagel. The bagel was warmed up but still really small and simple for the price. The coffee tasted nice and friendly service. Very fast it was made which was helpful so I didn’t miss my train. Lot of other options but overall I’d probably visit here again when next at Norwood junction station. They have stools for a quick bite if you want to eat in. Also you can enter from both sides which is helpful.”

    Court Cafe

    ★★★☆☆ 3.2

“Not sure why the reviews are so bad - pretty good food at a pretty good price at a very convenient location. There’s a nice combo deal that gets you a sandwich/drink/dessert for a reasonable price. There’s a wide variety of sandwiches available, and the earl grey cupcake was delightful! P.S. you can get a very cheap museum souvenir by buying the branded water bottle.”
