A special shoutout to Dennis, who was absolutely brilliant behind the bar – super helpful, friendly, and really attentive. He made sure everyone was looked after and went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. It’s rare to come across such genuine customer service these days. “Lovely hotel which was perfectly situated! 15 min drive from st Albans which was lovely to explore with a stunning cathedral. And 15 min drive the other way to Harry potter world!! So perfect for us, friendly staff with full use of pool, sauna and steam room so that was a huge plus. Rooms were simple but had everything required. Food was lovely at the hotel and something that made me super happy was when asked for a take out box, They had these biodegradable boxes (instead of the standard plastic tubs) and paper straws! ✌ so big shout out for that.”

“It's what you expect, and is on the A41 so easy to access. Food is usual McDs grub usually hot and well cooked, not always perfect but no McDs ever is. The staff are friendly and helpful, and usually smile. It's clean enough but during busy periods gets a bit chaotic. Parking is horrific and during busy periods just a pain. I go here late at night after work as it 24hr and hot food is hot food at 2am!”

It’s exactly what I expect from the brand: quick service, decent prices, and food that hits the spot when you’re in the mood for something simple and tasty. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. My order came out quickly and everything was hot and freshly made. The tacos and quesadillas were exactly what I wanted — nothing fancy, just enjoyable fast food. Overall, it was a straightforward and satisfying visit. I’d happily stop by again when I’m in the area and craving Taco Bell.”

“I've had pizzas from here since I went to college over 15 years ago and after moving back to the area recently it's still just as good as I remember. A little more expensive than your typical local pizza place, but still cheaper than the big chains and easily as good if not better too. Order about 11.15pm about got my food about 11.50pm just before they closed. Everything was cooked perfectly and the delivery was fast.”

“Today I had what was a near-perfect fast food experience in Costco's food court. There is no more queuing to ask for what you want; you select what you want from one of five touch screen terminals, which are well removed from where the food is served, so you don't get to jam-up the serving process while you dither over what you want. I like the way the calories are really clear; a jacket potato can mean anything between about 500 and 1200 calories, depending which filling you opt for. You pay at the terminal, take your ticket and wait your turn. I reckon I waited for about 1 minute, before my order got shouted out, and my huge potato with beef chilli sauce was thrown on to the stainless steel counter. No one wanted to see my ticket, it was up to me to be listening and grab my food and get on with it, which I am fine with. They have placed loads of tables in there, including lots of standing tables, for the people like me who are fine with eating standing up and leaving the seats free for weaker humans. The food was great, a nice large properly baked spud, and the beef chilli sauce was really nice, all for £2.99. It was quick, cheap, satisfying and unceremonious, which is everything I want from fast food.”

“Ordered crispy shredded beef, squid, vegetable noodles and crispy tofu. All fine - Fair price and big portions. Had to write a review though for the crispy shredded beef, it’s the best I had in a long long time. In many Chinese restaurant, you barely get any meat on those, just thin deep fried batter. Here however, it’s chunky and well prepared (took the picture until I already had half of it unfortunately :P ).”
