“A great place to eat or grab a cuppa whilst you wait for your Halfords MOT to be completed. Food is good, friendly service, child friendly, and it's clean. What more would you ask for.”

“First time at this particular PI and the difference between here and the one up the road (London Twickenham Stadium) are poles apart. There is parking but we turned up around 21:00 and I was lucky to find a spot; the car park does serve the Beefeater next door. The front door is automatic which is handy when you have a lot of bags but the inner doors are manual. We were greeted by a friendly, very helpful and enthusiastic member of staff. Our room was on the first floor (no lift) at the front of the building and although there was a busy main road and a bus stop outside it wasn’t that noisy. The room and bathroom seem bigger and as usual the bed is very comfortable. The wardrobe/ shelving unit is lovely and big, easily fits 4 days of our clothes and four big shelves for all your other bits. In this PI the rooms have A/C and having bus stops outside is an added bonus. Only negative is that the toilets don’t flush very well.”

“Extremely impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the service. I was allowed an early check in and a bump up to a slightly bigger room which was spotless! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were pleasant and professional. I would stay here again if I was to visit London as this is out the way of the main city but close enough to a station to travel in quickly.”

“I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn and was fully satisfied with everything. The room was very clean and comfortable, the facilities left nothing to be desired, and the breakfast was varied and fresh. What stood out most was the excellent service – the entire team was always friendly, helpful, and professional. A special thank you to Sophie, Karolina, Alexandra, and Sam, who made my stay even more pleasant with their attentive and welcoming manner. Because of them, I truly felt at home. “Didn’t know this gem was here. Pop in to Two tyres to get a new set of tyres and the guy in there said about this place. I ordered the fully Monty and a cup of tea. The food is cooked in front of you and a nice slap of butter for you to butter your toast. It was good quality ingredients used full of favour.There is a football table in here as well as table tennis. Would definitely eat here again. Good place to wait while you bike is being serviced by the many of motorcycles workshops here.”

“Rooms simple, but have everything you need. It was so clean. Roy was extremely welcoming and had everything under control. Location was perfect for me, quiet area, plenty of room to park my van. 20 minute walk into Farnham Common where pubs and restaurants are. Loved it, would stay again.”

“We have always been a regular at strand cafe and it was recently taken over by new owners. They still do a lovely breakfast menu, and Thai food but the place has been beautifully renovated. Had a chicken salad which was fresh and tasty, and the cafe manager was so welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely be back!”

“Wow wow wow .. went into this place for a bacon roll and noticed some chicken on the griddle that looked amazing and straight away changed my mind and went for daily special . It was amazing and the size of the meal was crazy large . The chicken was perfectly seasoned the rice was cooked to perfection and the salad had a great dressing .. all I can say was this meal was delicious and perfect. Definitely see you again and thank you”

“Popped in last night for dinner with friends. Lovely location with plenty of parking. Bar staff were lovely, big smiles and kind and courteous at all times. Food was classic pub fare but done very well. My brie burger was superbly cooked and the risotto is to be recommended also. Will definitely be returning, hopefully to try the great value Sunday roast.”

“A lovely place to grab a hot/cold drink and a good range of snacks and ices, situated right next to a large children's playground park and picnic area. Toilets are accessible too. A few minutes walk from Ham cross- river ferry boat and this café is conveniently located between historic Orleans, Marble hill and Ham houses. All of which are fantastic places to visit, if you have the chance to. Well worth a visit!”

“Lovely little cafe at a quiet spot on the Wetlands. Food served is sandwiches and soups, with coffee, tea etc. We had 2no. Bacon and Salad Cibattas with coffee for lunch. Sat outside as it was a beautiful sunny day.”

“My wife and I loved our Sunday night stay at the Mitre Hotel. What did we like? Wonderful situation on the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary and generous glass of wine on arrival. Large, comfortable and quiet room - we were upgraded to The Royal Mews (many thanks for that) - with complimentary coffee, biscuits etc. Excellent breakfast buffet taken in the lovely round room with wonderful views of the Thames. Settle in Sunday is a really great deal. Would we stay at The Mitre again? Like a shot!”

“Had great food today. I had crushed avo on sourdough topped with crumbled feta and chilli flakes. I also asked if they could add scrambled eggs. No problem and had a really good portion. They also sell red tea which is great as not every where does. Service was also good and in a great setting sitting outside overlooking the cricket ground and river. I’ll be back!”

“We stopped for a snack and drinks. We had duck spring rolls which were served beautifully with sweet chilli sauce and salad with a mustard dressing. Probably the best spring rolls I’ve had – thin crispy pastry with a delicious duck filling The drinks were nice. I asked for lime and soda with bitters (where I am used to lemon lime and bitters in Australia) which they accommodated and it was quite delicious. A nice setting good service and a helpful, friendly girl behind the bar. Recommended highly.”
