“This post is three decades overdue. I was born in Hackney in 1970. I lived around the corner from Well Street market until 1987 when I moved to Canada. I'm still in Canada. But I'm 99% sure that Sun On Chinese Take Away is the same store my brother use to send me to frequently to bring home food for him. It was red just like Sun On, and more or less in the same spot. I remember how much I loved the food. I still love Chinese food today, thanks to Sun On. If anyone from Sun On is reading this, can you please confirm that you are the same store that existed in the 70's and 80's.”

“Oriental City is our go to every Friday night as it’s by far the best Chinese in Elm Park and surrounding. Loveliest staff who make you feel welcome and always up beat and great to chat with. Food is always fresh and really tasty, they deliver exceptionally quickly where the food is always hot and they never forget a thing. Trust me we’ve tried all local Chinese takeaways several times…and oriental city is head and shoulders above. I’m quick to avoid the same takeaway again if they take too long to deliver, food quality dips week to week etc but this is never the case with Oriental City! If you want quick and tasty Japanese style takeaway, I’ve found Iro Sushi to be a good choice! There are quite a few negative reviews, but luckily I haven’t had any bad experiences ordered takeaway from here.”

“Fong's Kitchen is the best Chinese takeaway shop in London for me. I love their salt and pepper shrimp and Singapore noodles.
