“My dog came back smelling so good, his nails were also trimmed very well. The staff are very nice and try to accommodate the grooming according to your dog. Highly recommend this place for bath, nail clipping, ear cleaning and anal gland expression. Their pricing is very reasonable and charged us £30 (everything included).”

“This is a great playground and my children love playing here. There has been a lot added to it over the years, the new pirate ship and rocking horse are a huge hit! It is friendly for the younger children, there is a smaller climbing frame and the swings with seats for younger children/ toddlers. There are climbing frames for the older children or the more adventurous little ones! There are benches and little picnic tables scattered around. Next to the playground there is a good size basketball court which sometimes doubles up as a space to play football. On the other side of the playground there is a large outdoor paddling pool. This only opens in the summer holidays but it is very popular with the locals. It is free and mostly quite clean. The pool is cleaned once a week and it does get closed while it is being cleaned. There are male and female toilets in the building next to the paddling pool but these are only open while the pool is open. The pool is only for children, my little one wasn't keen going in on his own for the first time so I got some funny looks when I went in the pool too! The pool is very shallow and there are benches situated around the pool.”

“I've recently joined The Club At County Hall and it was a superb idea. The team is warm and friendly and the facilities well kept. I mainly use the swimming pool which is fantastic seeing the size. I'd recommend the Club to anyone. I love that it's within a luxurious hotel since the hospitality is felt the minute your enter the doors. Keep up the good work!”

“my both daughters (age 7 and 2) love the classes. Really great and knowleagable instructors, very polite reception stuff. I like this particular pool as its hydro pool and its always very warm there compared to other pools. Would def recommend for anyone who would be looking for swimming classes (either baby or independently for older kids to learn swimming)”

“Jason at David Lloyd’s, Chigwell was absolutely amazing and informative. He took me on a guided tour around the huge complex and explained the different amenities on offer. It is an impressive gym! Jason answered all my questions snd there was no pressure. Thank you Jason for your friendliness and kindness!”

“They provide a nice hardcourt (just a normal wooden basketball or volleyball clue) suitable for indoor frisbee with good air conditioning and heating especially in the winter. The artificial grass and natural grass pitches are well maintained! To finish it off staff are friendly and helpful.”

“The coaches at Sports Generation are excellent. My son did not enjoy swimming at all before we joined Sports Generation and the coaches there quickly managed to get him really excited about swimming lessons. We went from my son dreading swimming lessons to him actually really looking forward to them. They have taught him excellent skills and technique as well - all in a fun way.”

“Been a Gym member here for years. It's very small, but perfect if you want to use good equipment mostly on your own. The staff are all very friendly and on hand if needed. Added Bonus is the Barn for lovely coffee and the girls are great.”

“Couldn’t imagine a better place to get both the sun and swim at the same time. Walk through reception where I’ll receive my cold beverage to aid me in my swim and during the summer sitting on the side waiting for the ice cream truck to deliver my ice cream. If I want to go enjoy a bit of a quieter environment I’d book for the Sun terrace where you can be away from the pool and enjoy a lovely sun lounge!”

They are always available to spear tips about how to improve your workout as well as a nice chat. I have been attending this gym for over 5 years now and I am still very happy about it. “Our son started swimming lessons at Poolside Manor just over a year ago. He was 3 and a half and had only been in a swimming pool on holiday, splashing around the baby pool or holding us tight in the big pool. When he started I wasn’t sure he would get in to the swimming pool without a parent with him, but the staff were so lovely to him, giving him the confidence to just walk off and he went straight into the pool without us, while we watched from the parents area. His swimming teacher is Francesca and she is absolutely amazing, we can’t thank her enough. She has pushed him (within his ability) and he can actually swim and is doing far better than I ever imagined one year on. Francesca is encouraging and patient and explains everything to the children in a way that makes his lesson engaging and fun. At the end of each term they have a fun swim session with pool toys and floats which he absolutely loves. The whole team, especially Vicky are wonderful and so lovely to the children. We couldn’t be happier with our son’s progress and that’s mainly down to Francesca. Even the reception team are great, Sharon is wonderful and so accommodating when we had to change swim days. They are all so helpful and the clean changing rooms and spacious car park also help to make for a lovely swim session experience. Thank you Poolside Manor, it’s an amazing swim school and has enabled our son to accomplish an excellent life skill.”

“I recently joined the gym at Wandle Recreation Centre and have been thoroughly impressed! The gym has a fantastic junior session that encourages kids to get active in a supportive environment. The staff here are incredibly helpful, and I want to give a special shout-out to Kim, who went above and beyond to assist us during the sign-up process. Her patience and knowledge made the experience smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this gym as a wonderful space for families looking to get fit together!”

“I love this place. I have a membership, and it has a huge amount of classes for fitness to choose. The pools are huge indoor and outdoor. Staff are friendly, and fitness teachers are amazing. Better is a great gym, and I would recommend it to everyone. During summer you can use the Lido pool and have yoga, aqua aerobics outside. There is a car parking with lots of spaces. If you are a member of the gym, you can pay a fee of £5 at the staff desk and your Registration will be added to the Council list and you will have up to 4h free in the car park for a year.”

“Great outdoor lake for a swim complete with ducks and wild landscape. You need to book online in advance and wear clothes easy to change into outdoor in the open on the shore before/after. Would be great if there were open outdoor cold water shower to rinse off afterwards as you do get a bit of pond weeds stick to you; hopefully something that can be added soon.”

“Great staff, very accommodating and friendly. Hydropool and main pool could be a bit hotter at times but some people like it cooler so you can't please everyone. Shannon is absolutely brilliant and is on top of everything, the hydropool is always hot when she is around which helps with my back problems, when she is on shift, she is on top of everything and you can count on things to be tip top shape. Never a dull moment.”

“Really friendly staff all around, from in the gym to the receptions to life guards. Facilities have always been clean and car park is usually full when I go, however there are always people coming in and out, I find usually on the hr is when spaces open up, at 11 at 12 at 1 etc.”
