I’ve already had a delicious mozzarella and roasted veg roll, a luxury matcha green tea with vanilla, and the homemade banana and chocolate croissant was a real treat! And such lovely people serving. “My first evening in London after a long journey I ate at HAWLER. This was the best decision I made that day. The restaurant is bustling with a nice atmosphere and very hospitable staff. I had the lamb and chicken tikka and before even ordering I already had received a complimentary bowl of lentil soup, which was very delicious and lovely to warm up from the cold outside. The meal was wonderful as the charred meat was rich, tasty and tender. The table was so full with all kinds of extras to eat with the meal, something I am not used to but enjoy greatly. Very affordable price, I would recommend anyone in the area to check this restaurant out. First and definitely not last time I am having Iraqi cuisine!”

“Very clean pleasant rooms and generously laden with freebies such as toiletries, water and biscuits. The best part is the bar and restaurant downstairs. The food is top quality and the room has to be seen to be believed as no 2D photo will do it justice. It is like stepping into Wonderland with Alice. The staff are lovely as well; attentive, helpful and genuinely charming. I had an early start the next day so was disturbed by the music until 1am but it is worth a little lack of sleep for the spectacular visual experience and warm welcome I received. Tunes were good too. This place is like nowhere on Earth.”

“Superb food. Been here once before and was amazed at how huge their portions are! Fried chicken in black bean sauce was amazing, they also give lots of fried chicken thigh pieces accompanied by ginger and herb rice - I asked for the meal to be a little spicy and they kindly accommodated. Really good value for money will be coming back here again next time for sure! We ordered two plates of food the first time but really 3 people could share one plate! Had to buy takeaway containers to take the excess food home.”
