“Don't let the negative reviews put you off booking. We really enjoyed our stay in one of the 'Premier Plus' rooms, it was lovely and clean, the bed was comfy and all the staff were really nice and helpful. We ordered breakfast, which is served in the pub (The Winning Post), which is on the side of the building. It was amazing; there was plenty of choice (even as a vegetarian), and the cooked breakfast was made to order. Again, all the Staff were sociable and friendly. We will definitely be back.”

“Exceptional budget stay for an overnight work trip. Seamless check in, and I was upgraded to a double room free of charge, which was really appreciated. The room and bathroom was very clean, as well as comfortable, with all the amenities you would need. I didn't find the surrounding area noisy, rather on par with the usual noise of London. “What a pleasant experience. We were greeted at the door and seated by the friendly "Ben" who anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Ben brought us some complimentary warm focaccia and olives to nibble on while we made our menu choices. The menu has a good balance of dishes and I quickly decided on my choices along with a bottle of Ramaro for the table; I have a soft spot for Sicilian red wine. All dishes were well plated and tasted as good as they looked. The portions were also very generous, perhaps "Mama" was in the kitchen dishing the plates. After the meal, there was little room left for dessert, so I shared a panna cotta with my wife; I have to say that it was the best I've ever tasted. My only regret is that I didn't choose one of the seafood dishes, they looked realy appetizing. My relationship with crustacions has always been one where no matter what precautions I take while shelling them, a jet of oil always squirts out and slashes me on my shirt. Perhaps next visit I'll wear on old shirt or a bib; perhaps both.”

The staff still very friendly and helpful. *** Simple and practical chippy but clean and with a couple of tables to eat in. The staff is lovely and friendly. The fish always very nice. The good hygiene rating is very encouraging. I would go more often if I lived closer.”

I’ve had the same hairdresser for over 20 years, so I was a bit nervous, but the lovely Chloe did an amazing job and did exactly what I asked for. The atmosphere in the salon was also very welcoming so overall I had a really great experience and would highly recommend.”

“Never had a bad experience here. Always left to browse alone without being bugged, however I’ve never had a problem receiving help when I ask. Friendly, and extremely knowledgeable staff in all areas. Gorgeous cats appear out of nowhere to welcome you at different points. More often than not, I also have a chat at the counter with staff when checking out. Thankful for a small family businesses like this still left in the area. Being run the way it is explains how they have lasted so well”

“A real nice experience in Indian dining. Started off with the reviews of course and then the dining. The cider choice, was a koppaberg which was refreshing. Thr samosas in the chaat were complimented with channa aka chickpeas and vatiyon other accoutrements. Delicious. The murg tikka was quite good too but would have preferred fit bit more heat n the green chutney served with it. On to the main course with lamb saag and dal makhani with breads. Both ere well cooked and excellently spiced to provide a great end to the meal. Unfortunately no space for kulfi.”

“Great, unusual cuisine and lovely food. Ever since Soul opened, we have been coming for breakfast, brunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The food is really unique, using ingredients like jackfruit, and very healthy. Recommend the avocado and the roast cauliflower among other dishes. The wine selection is quite impressive. Lovely service and team. We’re fast becoming regulars for sure.”

“Very nice little cafe, service is unbelievably fast an yet you don’t feel rushed. The food quality and quantity was just right and for the location it was extremely well priced. Very nice inside and the decor is very traditional and inviting. I would recommend to anyone looking for some light lunch or breakfast.”

“1st time and it was a lovely pub near the Rugby (and I could park my motorcycle in the street). The young staff were welcoming, even when I asked if I could have 3 pints of Naked Ladies, if I wasn't being wound up by my buddies who drink there regularly for rugby. BTW they have Erdinger in bottles, including alcohol free so I could enjoy a beer.”
