“What a quirky find just 5ish minutes away from the Chrystal Palace train station! Cosy bar with a memorable decor. Good choice of beers and friendly staff. Few spaces to sit outside too. “Stopped off for refreshments during our thames path walk. It's slightly back from the Thames. Good selection of craft beers.. Staff were friendly, and it was good to see that they used disinfectant between seatings as most pubs just take the glasses and forget to wipe. Hope to return so we can try out the menu as it read well and on seeing the food served to others in the pub it smelt good too.”

Very friendly/good service. All the locals go there. Takeaways and eat in, with a varied menu. Very glad we live nearby.”

“The food is absolutely amazing. The presentation on the plate is just gorgeous. I love eel and tuna the most. The lack of music makes this place a bit too loud with all the people talking. They could play some lo-fi or other relaxing music. Also the waiter seems too shy and not too talkative, like he's afraid of people or trying to run away from customers. Anyway it's another positive visit here. Definitely coming back again soon.”

“18-5-2025. Always welcomed with a smile. Great menu at great prices. Can highly recommend the half chicken, chips and a drink deal, all for £8.49, chicken is really tasty, better than Nandos. Chicken biriyani with rice is also very good. Piri piri Chips are great . Food cooked well and you don't wait long. Some seating and tables inside too.”

“I'll echo previous reviews, freshly prepared Indian food! How unusual, from the preserves served with home made poppadoms, to the beautifully seasoned mains. Just fantastic, black dal full of flavour and the goan king prawns were fabulous! The chef was also more than happy to help accommodate our need for milk free food also. Only one criticism, the goan fish curry was salty but lacked flavour I felt. Everything else was superb though, and considering the excellence everywhere else, still deserves 5 stars.”

“Very popular among the locals and a constant stream of delivery drivers is a good sign. A burger menu and a traditional breakfast menu leaves you spoiled for chouce. Definitely worth a go if your a burger fan! Very accommodating to requests. Great for the kids too. Lovely family run cafe. Good value and big portions. Great service. Very clean too! Will be back.”

“Stumbled upon this place after getting on the wrong bus during a recent trip to London. So get we did. Visted a lunchtime, had the most delicious lamb kebab on the spit I've ever had. Rice was fluffy and tasted lovely. Great size portions too. Staff were lovely. Wish we lived closer as this would definitely be a regular.”

We ordered ‘All Hail The Cheese’ & ‘The Duke’ Both delicious in flavour, but would 100% come back for the Alll Hail, Service was quick, and friendly enough, didn’t wait long for the food either, good portion size and very filling. We had a slight issue with what we ordered but was rectified quickly which makes us happier to come back.”

“Visited the Rose and Crown pub over the weekend while in the area for a wedding. It was the closest place so we took a chance. So glad we did ,the staff were helpful, welcoming and had a great sense of humour ,we were treated like we were old friends .The atmosphere was brilliant the place very comfortable and the food was unbelievable. The attention to detail with each dish was incredible , it was hard to pick a winner so choose what you want it will be delicious. Do yourself a favour when in the area and visit the Rose and Crown you definitely won’t be disappointed. Very highly recommended,thank you to the team for doing such a great job.”

“Great experience at Poco Loco. I’ve been here quite a few times for the bottomless brunch. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We were never looking around wondering if we could order another drink. Thank you chefs the food was lovely too. Dee was serving us and was very good at making sure we had everything we needed and has a very personable manner. Also complements to the other server with the red curly hair. She served us last time and I remember how nice she was. The staff here are honestly great and there is a great choice of cocktails and drinks for bottomless brunch.”

“We tried this Lebanese restaurant in Guildford, must say the atmosphere the service & the food is all very good. We tried many dishes, Shrimps, Chicken livers, squid rings, Lebanese spicy sausages, the mixed platter all very cooked very well & was delicious. Would recommend this restaurant.”
