The wine list was superb, and our server's recommendation was the perfect pairing. We finished with a fantastic dessert that was the ideal end to the meal. The best part was seeing the owner in the kitchen, pouring his heart into the food. That passion is the secret ingredient. We're already planning our next visit!”

“We went there for dinner on Friday night. The vibe was very chilled, beautiful interior in the inner part. We had beef cheeks (really nice and tender, good sized portion) and duck salad (good, but the duck was overdone). For the mains we had lasagna (decent quality, but a bit dry for my taste) and rabbit (very good). An amazing selection of Italian wines. The service is really, really friendly and very attentive. Overall, a nice local gem both for dinner or just casual drinks with some Italian cheese and meets. Would definitely go back.”

It had calm vibes of small town Mexican dinner.”

We had a little tasting session at the weekend where she had already selected wines she thought we’d like based on what we’d told her. She guided us through the different wine options, advised us on quantities to purchase and was just generally fantastic. Amazing service especially as we weren’t even ordering the wine through the Beckenham store as our wedding is in Leicester (we also had great service when we called to place the order with the Leicester store). “We found this hidden gem by accident, were passing by, mistook it for a small local shop, and popped in for a bottle of milk. Half an hour after wandering around this amazing tardis of a shop, in complete awe of the size of the shop and selection of produce, we came out with three bottles of wine and almost a week's worth of shopping! I am a retired convenience store owner myself and, after 40 years in the sector, can safely say, this is the best convenience store you will likely find anywhere in the UK. Plus the staff were all extremely friendly! Well done to the owner of this shop and all their staff, this is a masterclass on how a convenience shop should be run.”
