The lady who helped us was patient, showed us how to care for them and even wsited behind after their opening times so I could go buy some carry cases. “I have used Copperbeech Boarding for both my cat and my dog for a number of years .prior to the dog we have I had a reactive dog which Copperbeech were happy to board on a one to one basis. They posted photos of my dog in their conservatory looking so happy ,I was amazed as I wasn't even sure staff would get near him let alone have him out of his kennel. They look after my cat as well who isn't always happy to be kept inside at the best of times and be grumpy,but they let him have a wander round the cattery. It's a first class business and nothing is too much trouble to make your pets stay a happy relaxed one.”

“We had a great time here, we stayed in Cabin 1 and it was so peaceful. We had our 7 month old to think about and this worked well as we could have dinner and relax in the evening and she could sleep in the cot in the bedroom and we wouldn't disturb here like we would in a hotel in one room. Staff were lovely and friendly and the site was clean. Hot tub was great to chill in the sunshine. Lovely walks around Dovestone Reservoir just a stones throw away. Have already recommended to family and would absolutely recommend again particularly for young families who like lots of countryside walks and exploring the local area.”

“We used Gizmo's to look after our cat (also coincidentally called Gizmo) while we went on holiday and I am so happy with the service. They came everyday whilst away ensured that Gizmo was fed and happy, the service they provide is hassle free and we had no worries whilst away. We even got updates which we loved. We are so impressed with the service they provided that we have already booked in for when we are away again! I would 100% recommend Gizmos Pet Services to anyone!”

“They'd just opened, I plonked myself on a seat and ordered a breakfast muffin, it's literally still in my hand now and it's 'effin delicious. Friendly and quick service, freshly cooked and I live nowhere near but ill come again when I'm on training at the brewery. Could not recommend more.”

“I had an excellent experience with this Chinese takeout restaurant. The food was freshly prepared, flavorful, and arrived hot and on time. Their menu offers a great variety of dishes, and the portions were generous. The staff was courteous and efficient, making the entire ordering process smooth and pleasant. Personally, my favorite is the young chow fried rice. For anyone that would want to check this place out I highly recommend this dish! 10/10 must try again!”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“Absolutely beautiful place! We stayed in the deluxe family room with our 4 month old which was really big with two bedrooms open to each other joined by steps with a king bed and double bed. You can reach the bedroom via the path outside which is good for a pram, or via the stairs through the pub. The owner and all staff are extremely friendly and chatty. We stayed for one night and had breakfast which was a lovely cooked breakfast with a good choice, and they also had cereal and yoghurt options with fresh juices, The bar is welcoming and had a good selection of drinks, also had their lovely little dogs walking round too. It’s very popular and busy, we stayed in October so I can imagine it’s very popular in the summer. The kids playground was good too with the animals in it and two lovely goats. We’d highly recommend this pub either for food or to stay too, and we’d love to return.”

“Tuesday 9th December 2025 This fantastic unspoilt Manchester pub is absolutely gem of the past 2 small rooms which between them can't fit 18 people in it The bar is a minute affair and does not have till the standing room is less than 10 The staff person behind the was friendly helpfull and superb. I would say to all pub goers im Manchester give this unique pub a go”
