“Such a nice little pub to unwind, especially if you don’t want anything crazy for the night but just enjoying a drink with friends and have a great meal. Food is really nice and it came in fast. The staff is friendly and thoughtful. They have darts and table tennis so you can enjoy a game while at it too! Recommend.”

“Not able to judge the food (they dont sell any) or the atmosphere (as no one else was in) but the bar itself is wonderful. Only small, with an indoor upstairs seating area & a small section out front with tables & chairs (only good for dry days) Theres also a beer garden to the rear apparently (never tried it)? Although limited for bar space the beer selection is good. More often than not there are 3 locally brewed ales on cask & 8 beers on keg, which usually includes a dark one. Altrincham born & bred Iv'e been coming here since it opened in the early 2000s and despite both it sister bars closing (Chorlton & Liverpool) luckily this bar continues to trade. I wish there was a greater choice, but should you be unable to find something unsuitable on cask/keg, they also have a well stocked fridge with numerous craft ales so im confident you'll find something suitable. Not the cheapest of bars, but far from the most expensive. OK, its getting a little tired around the edges now & the downstairs disabled toilets could do with a bit of a face lift, but all that said I still highly recommend this place.”

“I would 100% recommend this place. £15 for a 3 course dinner is great value for money. The Yorkshire pudding starter was great. Recommend that! The rump steak was tender and lovely. Perfectly cooked. The burger was great with a plate full of chips too! If I was to be picky. The deserts could improve a little. The brownie was more like a dense cake. And wasn’t gooey, but was chocolatey. The sticky toffee pudding didn’t taste much of toffee. It needed more toffee sauce. However, I must state. Still nice and great value for money. I would go back and I look forward to as well.”

“Went for a family 50th birthday, pre booked online which was very easy to do. Tables ready as we arrived, staff attentive, very friendly and looked after us all really well. Food is lovely, catered for all ages and requirements. Staff even presented me with a birthday card and a beautiful dessert trio . Highly recommend.”

He cooks a Sunday roast that is nothing short of exceptional. And it’s not just the roast—every dish I’ve had here has been fantastic. You can tell there’s real passion behind every plate. I come here regularly, whether it’s for a meal, a drink with friends, or—let’s be honest—sometimes more than one drink! It’s always a great experience. This is the first time I’ve taken the time to write a review, not because I didn’t want to, but because I never felt the need—Long Bar speaks for itself. But I do think it’s important to acknowledge the people who put passion into what they do, and Chef Dave and the whole team here deserve all the recognition. As a proud Bramhall local and a small business owner myself, I believe in supporting our village’s businesses. Places like Long Bar make all the difference in creating a welcoming community. If you haven’t been yet, you absolutely should. Highly recommended!”

“Fantastic service and food. We had a birthday dinner for two and they made the birthday girl feel special. Ambiance was modern and luxurious. We had starters of arancini and croquettes that were delicious. Mains we opted for steaks that were perfect with a cherry & almond dessert. All of this was absolutely divine. This place will take care of you and highly recommend”

“Visited with work colleagues for a few drinks and had a great time. The bar wasn't overly busy and we were able to talk to one another without shouting which was nice. The drinks were good and not very expensive. The toilets upstairs were clean and tidy even though it was towards the end of the night.”

“We had a fantastic dinner today! The food as always was excellent but nothing truly compares to the service here. The staff are so kind and welcoming, eager to assist and generally make you feel like you're at a friend's for dinner! PJ was honestly incredible, the kids absolutely adored him and sometimes its a worry taking 2 kids under 5 for dinner but he was a breath of fresh air and made us feel comfortable the whole time! I cannot express enough how much that meant to me - you are an absolute asset to the Midland! Thank you all so much - see you again soon!”

“Great place to enjoy a quality beer close to the market. Interesting cask/keg/cider selection: they even had barley wine when I was there. There could well be a bottle shop upstairs full of Belgian rarities. Went today, it's still fabbo”
