“Exceptional Service – A Standout Experience with Vicki! I have stayed in many hotels over the years, encountering a wide range of service experiences, but I can confidently say that Vicki at the Merlin Innkeepers is in the top tier of hospitality professionals. From the moment we arrived, she was polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Her accommodating nature and willingness to go above and beyond made our stay truly enjoyable. What stood out the most was how effortlessly she balanced professionalism with warmth, making us feel valued and well taken care of. No request was too much trouble, and her attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our stay was smooth and comfortable. Because of Vicki, I will wholeheartedly recommend staying at the Merlin Innkeepers. Excellent service makes all the difference, and she exemplifies what true hospitality should be. Thank you, Vicki, for making our visit so memorable—we will certainly be back!”

“Went for a breakfast with the grandchildren, was very happy with the food, toast done to perfection, bacon had a chargrilled taste which I loved. The only let down was I like really runny eggs for my toast and beans. But not a dealbraker. The open fire was a bonus along with quite good coffee, being a breakfast coffee, it didn't give you that kick to wake your brain up, more like a brunch coffee.”

“Stayed here back in June. Stayed on a business trip, but if I was to stay here with my kids they would’ve loved the rooms as they’re all themed. My one had a tree house theme. All clean, close amenities nearby.”

“Having stayed in many hotels in Manchester, including the supposed “best” ones, I can confidently say my stay here was leagues above any of them. I’d go as far as to say this was the best hotel stay of my life. From the friendly greeting at reception at check-in, to the immaculate suite, this stay provided everything I could have wanted. I can’t wait to stay there again.”

The staff were exceptionally friendly and worked hard to keep the Christmas cheer going throughout the morning, ensuring that everyone was enjoying themselves. “Can't fault it for what you pay. We paid £66 per double room and booked 2. My wife, children and I had an overnight stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff where lovely, restaurant area was really nice, building itself from the outside is nice. Yes some bits are maybe a bit dated but what are you expecting for £66 a room.”

He was extremely friendly and gave us so much insight to the amazing selection of cocktails they had on offer. Will be 100% returning for the cocktails and luke!! “Booked for a hen doo through mojito events for 17 ladies. Given access details well before check in time which was good. All rooms had towels and clean bedding. Lovely rooms and bathrooms. Kitchen area was a bit on the small side but we made do. The roof terrace was lovely, did have a hot tub but unfortunately no chlorine tablets and no chlorine dispenser which wasn't good but was a good hot tub and enjoyed by us. The place was in walking distance to a lot of the city centre. Would def recommend.”

“This was a great place to stay! I was a bit cautious due to some of the reviews, but it was perfect for a night stay before the airport. The receptionist was shy and not talkative but still smiling and checked us in efficiently. Our room was easy to get to, clean, and had some tea and coffee which was lovely. The shared bathroom was also very clean and not often used, so it was great to get a cheap room for value. I would recommend staying here.”

“10/10 - The Stay Inn Manchester is everything you want from a budget hotel, but much, much more. Right on the doorstep of the City Centre, and very affordable. Where this ‘Budget’ Hotel differs from others in the field, is that this one is supremely well run, with an array of truly fantastic staff, for who, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for two weeks during a difficult house move, and The Stay Inn Manchester bent over backwards to accommodate us, and help us during this very busy time. Friendly - Clean - Fantastic. I can thoroughly recommend this Hotel to you.”

“My go to bar in Northern Quarter. Came for my best mates birthday and reserved a table this time and we had the best time! The bouncers are absolutely sound and friendly and have always helped me if I needed it. We came with a group of guys and but I’ve also been before with mixed gender groups and they’ve always been happy to let us in with no problem. Not like some of the other bars in Manchester. All the staff are really friendly and it’s a really chill place with good vibes, feels safe and fairly cheap! Been coming to Noho for years. Thanks for an amazing birthday!”

“well, I saw many bad reviews, but in fact it was much more better than people say. I stayed there for one night only, just to have some rest after the concert. so from my experience I can highlight: - service: the owner contacted me to solve one problem with the booked room before my check-in, then met me downstairs and lead to my room. he was quite friendly and polite. when I asked if they have any hair conditioner (shampoo and shower gel were present in bathroom), he tried his best to manage one for me. after all I didn't feel lost and ignored. - rooms: first of all it didn't smell like weeds, sex, alcohol and other things people have mentioned in other reviews. room 8, a small one, but still enough to stay for a night. fresh bedsheets without stains, tv, air conditioning, hair dryer, clean towels in sufficient amount, clean bathroom with hot and cold tap water. I work myself in housekeeping at the hotel, so I really mean it: it was absolutely acceptable. there was one thing to solve, but once I've mentioned it, the owner offered to solve this problem immediately. so honestly, I really enjoyed my staying over there. I definitely got an opportunity to take a shower, make some tea/coffee and just rest at night after the gig. - location: well yeah, it's quite far away from the city centre, but it's obvious for this price! if you want to live right next to Victoria station, you should be able to afford it. this hotel was absolutely nice for its price and using some public transport wasn't a big problem for me, just took some time. in general I find the hotel really nice for its price. maybe I was just lucky compared to other reviewers, I don't know :)”

“The beating heart of Moss side. A great Manchester pub of historical significance for Man City fans in particular. The management are warm and passionate, the regulars friendly and good humoured. Whether on your own for a quick pint or in a big group you will always find someone to chat and laugh along with, as all pubs should be!”
