“We went for brunch and both had the bacon on sourdough ciabatta with black pudding and one with a fried egg. They were much larger than expected (no complaint there!), perfectly cooked and delicious. Allergens were checked for on ordering. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. Loved the style and atmosphere, looking forward to going again. Oh and the coffee was fab!”

“This is our Fifth time in here. Never failed. We had the Brunch menu, my Lily had crêpe and she said it is tastes like pancakes which she likes very much. And my Ami had a nice chicken burger. Already planning the next visit. Keep up the good work guys. Fantastic food and portions are really good.And we had dessert on the house.”

“We were looking for a breakfast in Denton, we found this little gem just opposite Lidl, oh what a great find it was! Smiling owner, very cosy and making you wanna go back! Very reasonably priced and menus sticking to your hands not because they were dirty but because they’re so nice to touch and browse! We’ll be definitely back for the roast and other menu items (pizza etc). Some music (Italian maybe?) would be nice.”

“We had a fantastic time at The Bake House! After finding out our originally planned venue for afternoon tea was closed we called the Bake House and they accommodated us at the last minute! We were too late to order afternoon tea but they did their best to give us the experience by plating up our sandwiches into a platter and putting our chosen cakes on a cake stand. Delicious baked good, teas coffees and scrumptious milkshakes for the kids. 100% recommend!”

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and a wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Maral, the lovely owner, is such a kind and welcoming person — she goes above and beyond to make sure every guest is happy. The food is absolutely delicious — everything from the starters to the main dishes was full of flavour and beautifully presented. I had the Jojeh Extra Koobideh and Baghali Polo with Lamb Shank, and they were cooked to perfection. The prices are very reasonable too, especially for the quality and portions you get. We even had a wedding party there a few months ago, and everything was perfect — the food, the service, and the whole experience. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests. If you’re looking for authentic Persian food in a lovely setting with great people, Persia Grill is the place to go. Highly recommended!”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”
