“We had a fantastic time at The Bake House! After finding out our originally planned venue for afternoon tea was closed we called the Bake House and they accommodated us at the last minute! We were too late to order afternoon tea but they did their best to give us the experience by plating up our sandwiches into a platter and putting our chosen cakes on a cake stand. Delicious baked good, teas coffees and scrumptious milkshakes for the kids. 100% recommend!”

“If you're thinking about getting new furniture I would definitely check out this place first. Very reasonable prices that always reflect the condition of the furniture- of which the condition is usually great. There's also a delivery service which is immensely helpful. I'm not sure if there's a charge for it although I would imagine it's nominal. The cafe upstairs is lovely too. Very reasonably priced and a great selection of drinks and food. The choices range from snacks and cakes through to meals so there's something to satisfy whatever mood you're in. All raising money for such a great place in the hospice too.”

“I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

“This is the best breakfast I've had in years. We had the large breakfast and couldn't manage it all. Everything is cooked to order, it's hot and fresh, and just a few steps better quality than almost everywhere else we have stopped for breakfast. This was exceptional and I won't hesitate to recommend Cafe Se7en. We will definitely be back.”

““Morrisons is a brilliant all-round store. The place is always very clean and well laid out, which makes shopping simple and stress-free. Parking is easy and convenient, and I like that I can fill up with petrol at the same time – it saves an extra stop. I can even grab my daily newspaper while I’m there. The store has a huge variety of products, so whether it’s groceries, household items, or little extras, I can usually find everything I need in one visit. “Visited the coffee shop at lunch time today, lovely atmosphere about the place, it was busy, the staff were attentive and cheerful, our drinks were served lovely and hot, followed by our food which was lovely and fresh, accompanied by a healthy side salad. There are good menu choices available, along with daily specials, all in all very good indeed, 100% recommended.”
