There was no Turkey available on the Christmas menu, but there were plenty of other options available so we chose Gammon. The food was excellent quality and so delicious. We love the food and ambience here. A very nice place to eat and drink for any occasion.”

“We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”

“We visited in a family group. The carvery food was basic and straightforward food. It isn't gourmet food but it was tasty, very affordable and generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. Booking is recommended as it is a popular place to eat. I would definitely go again thanks to the affordability factor!”

“Great place, lots of different areas to sit, lovely food at a great price, great outdoor seating at the back, very friendly welcoming staff. Went there for a drink in the weekend and it was packed. Really appreciate the service as it was way faster than I was thinking. We will have to pay as you buy which is a great way as we don't want to worry about the bills and tips. Food is amazing I ordered a cooked chicken which as very juicer and well cooked and tasty. We have ordered a couple of drinks which was in a reasonable price. Loved the place and atmosphere definitely suggested to everyone want to have a good time. Only problem I think was with the parking, they don't have any parking as we have to find places in the nearby streets, which isn't so nice, but it's ok as it sits on the main road.”

“So, fundamentally this was a really nice place. The atmosphere is modern yet comfortable. I felt it was clean and well-looked after and I did not find anything obvious out of place. Our party was there for a wedding reception and there were quite a lot of us. We ordered a lot of food and although I felt that the service was a little slow perhaps, I didn't find it slow to the point of questioning it as, after all, they were cooking approximately 20 meals from scratch. I ordered lamb shank and crème brule and I really enjoyed the lamb. I found it to be well cooked and definitely enjoyed my meal. As far as I am aware most of our party enjoyed their meal and we found nothing to complain about with the food at all. The service was actually really pro-active and helpful and I got the impression that nothing was too much trouble and the staff were really polite.”

“I recently ordered from L.A Pizza and Grill, and I must say, the kebab was absolutely excellent! The delivery was on time, which is always appreciated. I also liked that they used paper packaging, which is more eco-friendly compared to plastic. The portion sizes were generous, and the meal offered great value for money. “Today was my first time dining at this restaurant. On a Saturday evening, it seemed a bit understaffed. I had attempted to book a table through their website, which showed it was fully booked until 7:30PM. However, when I called the restaurant directly, I was able to make a reservation. I suspect they might have shown full availability online due to limited staff. The male staff members were very polite, but I felt that one of the female staff, who appeared a bit heavier, seemed somewhat impatient when I was ordering. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary but satisfactory. This experience left me with mixed feelings about the restaurant. The disparity between the online booking system and the actual availability was puzzling, and the varying levels of service from the staff members were noticeable. While the food met basic expectations, the overall dining experience could have been enhanced with more consistent customer service.”

“Walked in during a rainy day and didn’t wait to get a seat. The food here is fantastic! We had a steak sampler and had a chance to try all their three types of steaks. Sirloin is juicy and fatty while fillet is lean and tender! Our kid ordered a meal too, he’s main highlight is the brownie with ice cream. Although the Google indicate closing at 11, I overheard that they close at 10, just note that.”

“We absolutely love it here! are regulars at Mottram wood because as a family of 6 we find that it has everything we need for all of us. Great food, friendly staff, a good play area for the kids and an outside area. And then the food is decent pub grub at a very reasonable price. We find it to be the best play area / restaurant around Manchester. We came here for Christmas dinner which was great and so reasonably priced and today my son just had his 6th birthday party at the wacky warehouse. Alex and Jess in the play area are outstanding and can’t do enough for you and the kids adore them too.”

“Staying at the attached Premier Inn with family during house renovations. Came for breakfast on reopening, after having watched them spend the weeks leading up to it doing maintenance and cleaning everything. Very clean and tidy inside. Breakfast was great. Good fry up and selection of fruits, cereals and yoghurts. Coffee good too. And the measure of any hotel breakfast, fantastic croissants which came hot from the oven! Joanne who served us was great,very friendly and attentive. Was lovely when serving my young children too. Thank you! Back tomorrow :)”

“Called in today and had the afternoon tea bought from Groupon . We were met and served by Shadi who was very friendly and her service was the best. The sandwiches and cakes were excellent especially my favourite the Tiramasu . The restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated . Will definitely return again .”

“I take various dishes from Yamas and honestly would say it is always fresh, tasty and big portions. Also love their salads rich in crispy lettuce, tomato, aromatic onion and those small, spicy but not to hot peppers on top.”

“I have been a regular customer for almost 6 years and I have always been very happy with the food and the service, regardless of how I ordered (via an app or in the restaurant). When we fancy Indian food, this is our go-to place. No other Indian restaurant even comes close. The food is always fresh, piping hot, perfectly balanced, and the service is always so pleasant. Even my little one, who is one very picky eater, adores the food from Saffron Balti. We order more or less the same every time; onion bhaji, peshawari naan, egg rice, and chicken tikka makhani or chicken tikka masala. Highly recommended!”
