“This is without a doubt my favourite restaurant. So far, it is the only place I have found outside of Italy to serve fresh, authentic Italian foods. My partner is Italian, and hence a harsh critic. Casa Italia has won his approval and we both come here regularly. It is clear that the people posting negative reviews about frozen food have never eaten here. There is an open kitchen where you can watch the chef cooking delicious food, all from fresh ingredients. Service is attentive, the atmosphere welcoming, and the food exceptional. I would recommend anything on the menu. But for me, two stand out dishes are the polpette Di carne (beef meatballs with a cheese centre) and the formaggi fusi (a bubbling dish of melted Italian cheeses)”

“been to Caramello for their Sunday roast, I had their roast chicken, which was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Paired with crispy roast potatoes, fresh vegetables, and a rich, savory gravy, creating the ultimate comfort meal. Their pistachio & raspberry was fantastic, just the right balance of flavors. If you’re looking for a top-notch Sunday roast, I highly recommend Caramello. I’ll definitely be back!”

“I moved to Didsbury with my friends and we decided to try the various options at the many restaurants. Here we found a warm welcome and a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, the service is smooth and fast, and the staff was truly excellent. As for the food, the fillet steak with green peppercorns was superb, the seafood risotto was excellent, and the breaded cheese. You've gained two new customers, see you soon, and thank you to the staff.”

“I've been going here for over 5 years now. Service and food has been consistently good all that time... My favourite dishes are haddock and chips, both of which they do very well, and pretty much any and every kebab they make (beyond doner, which itself is excellent, they know how to do Mediterranean and marinated (tandoori style) chicken). Just all round great food and pleasant experience from staff”

“This is a proper pub, with decent genuine customers. If you're a poser or a wannabe.....this is not the place for you. Good old fashioned no nonsense landlord which is a breath of fresh air. Well run and chilled atmosphere. A place you can you go feeling a bit scruffy after dog walking and nobody will bat an eye lid. Good ale and wine .”

“If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.”

“A truly wonderful place for an authentic Italian meal and fabulous atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. Although there are a few Domus Italia or Casa Italia restaurants in Manchester the Didsbury one does not feel like it part of a chain of faceless restaurants. It has a family run vibe and individual atmosphere. It's not a big place but that makes it so much nicer.”

“Last week we were [invited] to Sotto for "Tales of the Med" with Stir by night which involved bottomless tapas, paella, pizza and pasta Sotto is a fusion of Spanish and Italian cuisines which has resulted in a combination of homely, fresh food made with passion. Our night began with a coktail, the first of many....so the concept for this night was to bring s bottle of spirits which the @stirbynight guys would craft into genius cocktails as we feasted. I was very impressed with every drink they made with my favourite being gin based and served in a glass of powered beetroots, this resulted in a vibrant shokicng pink cocktail The food was crazy. Not just in flavour but in quantity! I have never been so full that I have had to force myself to eat mushroom and truffle ravioli before, it's a favourite of mine and I was tortured by its beautiful smell as I collapsed in a glutenous heap We were served pizza, Spanish tortilla, patatas bravas and olives before a very unique dish was served (The 4th picture) At first glance I thought this was a paella, but it was actually made of pasta cut finely and cooked with clams and parsley. It was very unusual and like nothing I've had before, personally I did not enjoy this as much as the actual paella that was served later on The chicken paella was absolutely beautiful, it was cooked in a traditional method from the region of Spain the owner Athena is from. I filled up on this a bit too much but paella is up there in the lisy of my favourite foods My favourite dish was the deep fried ravioli! Stuffed with spinach and ricotta, deep fried and topped with a tomato based sauce with Chorizo. This was incredible!! Definitely an amazing invention and a trend needing to kick off Overall we had an amazing experience, theres too much food to talk about. Big thank you to Sotto and Stir by Night for having us. “The Railway amazing pub bar . Very professional landlady .Highly recommend . Friendly pub food top standard. Just next to the train station .I am sure you will enjoy one of the different drinks .I like the fish and chips .”

“This is our 2nd visit here ( we dont live locally) so our visita are far apart. The food on both occasions was delicious. We shared the CAMEMBERT for two, with 4 slices of toasted Ciabatta and red onion relish. Extremely tasty. I had the Lentil Cottage pie with vegetables. Really tasty. Hunters chicken was very tasty too. We ate outside. Then went inside for a coffee and to investigate this lovely old house. I read and looked at the photographs on the walls and found out it had belonged to The Boddington Family. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.”

“Great experience overall! Very friendly service and great ambience. The food is also good. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but I have to admit that Gusto exceeded my expectations; food was actually quite decent. We went for lunch on a Saturday, 3 people. We sat on the outdoor area, which is very cute and spacious - ideal for those with baby prams like us!. We tried pasta carbonara, roasted vegetables salad, and the burger. We also had some starters. Everything was tasty and very well presented.”
