“I love this place! Emma's a wonderful talent and her flowers are simply beautiful. The little coffee shop is also amazing. You always get a warm welcome and a place to sit, enjoy a friendly chat and put the world to rights over fantastic coffee and delicious cakes. It's definitely one of my favourite places for sure.”

“Ever meandered through Chorlton Park and missed the Tibetan cafe? Well, I finally gave it a go and oh boy, what a joy! Snug by the playground, it's perfect for foodie families, picnic punters, and anyone on the prowl for friendly faces and hearty portions! Tried the sha sha chicken and the momos, both worthy contenders, but it was the cauliflower stir-fry with rice and veggies that stole my heart (and stomach). This humble veggie is transformed into a showstopper so delectable, it might just compel you to write poetry. So, gather the kiddos, nab a sunny spot and get ready for a taste of Tibet that'll have you planning your next visit before you've even left!”

“I’ve been visiting this coffee shop regularly for a while now, and I honestly can’t praise the team enough. You can immediately tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about both the quality of the coffee and the experience of everyone who walks in. Oli in particular has this effortless way of making the space feel welcoming, friendly, and his attentiveness is very wholesome. He remembers people’s preferences, checks in with guests thoughtfully, and the whole atmosphere runs smoothly under his watch. The drinks are consistently excellent, the service is efficient but personal, and there’s a calm, professional energy even during an influx. If you’re looking for a spot where you’re treated like a valued regular rather than just another customer, this is 100% it. Highly recommended!”

The place was very clean and staff were very quick to clear up tables. The price was really reasonable and portions very big. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and children's chicken Meal. “I visited Costa Gatley Sunday afternoon — a clean, well-maintained store with a cosy atmosphere and a good selection of food options. However, what stood out during my visit was an interaction at the till that left me quite surprised, and not in a good way. When I ordered a medium hot drink, the young girl serving me actively discouraged the choice. She suggested I go for a smaller size, saying: “There’s not much difference in size — go for the small and save some pennies.” As someone who has run a business for over a decade, I found this quite concerning. In most places, staff are trained to upsell — encouraging customers to consider larger sizes or additional items, which is standard practice in retail and hospitality. Her approach, while possibly well-intentioned, directly goes against basic principles of sales and revenue generation. Encouraging customers to spend less, especially unprompted, may seem kind, but it’s ultimately damaging to the business. In my view, this isn’t just unprofessional — it’s a risk to the long-term health of the store. Costa may want to consider reviewing training procedures to ensure staff understand the balance between customer service and commercial awareness. Thank you”

“Had a weekend away in the Peak District and was visiting nearby towns. Came across this lovely little cafe in a small town not to far from where we were staying (Whaley bridge). We ordered the egg and avacado toast which was yummy!! The hot chocolate was really rich and just perfect. What attracted me to this cafe was the mostly vegetarian menu. The cafe was also a walking distance from Millennium walkway is another great place to visit!”
