The food was incredible, I had the king prawns, tenderstem broccoli and spinach but would recommend all dishes. The drinks were delicious and the service was flawless. “My family visited to celebrate both my mother’s and daughter’s birthdays yesterday. We chose the early evening menu and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. What really stood out to us was the fantastic service from our waiter Thomas. He was patient, accommodating and attentive. His colleague Kelsey was also friendly and warm. I don’t usually write reviews but the staff here are fantastic. Small touches like bringing colouring pencils for my daughter and sincere interactions with us made the place feel very welcoming. The food itself was excellent but the staff set a standard that many other restaurants could learn from. We will definitely return!”

“Extremely friendly, smiley and helpful staff. A very warm welcome as I walked through the door. Clean, modern premises with Japanese style lucky cat artwork. A quiet, but slightly echoing atmosphere with background music that isn’t too loud and is quite mellow. Unagi Don: very sticky rice, rich and sweet sauce, flaky eel. Very tasty. Miso soup: well flavoured with a decent amount of seaweed and tofu. Chicken Karaage: succulent and very flavourful. Drunken Noodle with King Prawns, Shrimp, Mussels and Squid: The flat noodles were quite soft and easily breakable, but full of flavour and sauce which coated the seafood and vegetables very well. Dorayaki: not too sweet. A satisfying, no fuss, light dessert and the addition of chocolate sauce is a very complimentary flavour. Overall: a fair sized portion of good food at a reasonable price.”

Food was incredible, I’ve never had a bad meal there - the beef and pork belly were cooked to perfection, and the wonton soup was served piping hot. “A fabulous place for the kids and plenty of space for adults to sit and watch. There is an extra large play area and a great cafe. You get a half price voucher when you register online to become a member and every visit after that you get a £1 discount. Allowed a maximum of three hours stay or two hours at busy times so plenty of fun times with the kids. Would highly recommend this place, it’s clean and friendly with plenty to do and an excellent place for birthday parties tailored to suit your individual needs and numbers”

“Without a doubt the best curry I've had in a long time. Went for the 5 courses for £15 deal and cannot fault it. The starters were delicious - I had the chicken pakoora and my partner the chicken chat puri. Both were superb. Mains were a lamb dish with chili and garlic for me, and a Maducash murg for the Mrs. Again, both were superb. We will be back to dine here again, no doubt about it. Service was second to none - we have been here multiple times now.”

However, I’m giving it 4 stars because although the food was excellent, we had to ask for our drinks as they weren’t ready, which meant a bit of a wait. That said, the place had a lovely, cozy atmosphere overall.”

“Delicious, fresh food! Popped in for lunch with a friend and we were both absolutely made up. The katsu, sushi and ramen were beautiful. We finished with some mochi ice cream for dessert, which was super tasty and nicely presented. The service was quick and friendly too. The new management has definitely made a difference, it’s a big improvement to what the food was like there previously. I’d be stopping by again for sure!”

“Visited here in a large group (20 people) for my daughters 16th, service, food etc was amazing staff couldn’t do enough and everything ran smoothly which is impressive when catering for such a large group and even some with dietary requirements etc. would definitely recommend and special shout out to Alison our waitress who looked after us from start to finish. “I don't know why, but I've always thought this place would be a bit of a dive and so in the 30 years I've lived here, I've never been in. I'm sorry! However, as Stacked are now cooking here, we gave it a go. The bar staff were lovely and drinks were a lot cheaper than I've paid at other places which was a bonus. The guy on the bar also came over to make sure we understood the ordering process for Stacked which was good of him. Stacked was, as always, delicious and I'll review them separately. The only thing I will say, is that if you think Stacked is good when it's delivered, get down to the Prince of Orange and try it fresh!”
