“We asked Emma at the Builders if we could organise a small party in the Pub for friends. She was very accommodating and organised sandwich platters for the guests. Its a great location for meeting with friends. The quality of the sandwiches was excellent with many comments for others on these. The drink range is really good and very affordable compared to other places in Knutsford. As the weather was nice we also got to enjoy the outside garden and heated terrace area. Overall a great experience. Thanks to Emma and the staff.”

The service was absolutely excellent — Vicky and Josh were both friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. A big thank you also to the night manager, David, who made sure everything ran smoothly and added a personal touch to the evening. The food was spot on — the scampi was perfectly cooked, the fish and chips were crisp and delicious, and the deserts were absolutely lovely. Everything was fresh, piping hot, and full of flavour. “Nestled between North Shore Rd, Duke St and Jubilee St, Morrisons occupies a edge of space that provides a supermarket, parking lot, and petrol stations. As Morrisons go, it does everything one would expect of Morrisons - without the cafe which has been closed in accordance with the retailer's national policy. Apart from that, the store is clean, well provisioned, and everything you need is always there to be had, including regional fare that locals are partial to. Importantly, Morrisons boasts two cash ATMs which is no small matter in a town where the only other ATM services are provided at one place in the centre of town - so if you are near the ATM, be sure to grab some cash while you can.”

“We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”
