“Just spent a fantastic week at Swan lake villa and cant thank all the staff at The Real Algarve enough for all there help in choosing just the right villa for all 13 of us. Enjoyed it that much have booked to go back already. Great service in the Algarve from The Chauffeur company. The villa is a bit tired now and could do with a little refurb however the grounds Pool and Tennis courts are amazing and make up for it as almost all our time was spent out doors. We ate outdoors all the time on the huge terrace and had enough space around the massive table for all of us. Cant fault a single thing in the service we received, cant wait to be back”

“We have ordered breakfast for delivery from here a number of times now and I can honestly say it’s the best we’ve had in a long time, every single time we haven’t been disappointed. Food is piping hot when it arrives and is beautifully presented you can tell the staff take pride in their food and service. The little touches make such a difference and the staff write little messages on the boxes and receipts saying thank you, or enjoy etc. Will definitely be visiting in person at some point.”

“I started from Lock 54 the Ship Inn at Stakehill Industrial estate,Middleton towards Rochdale.Me and my dog went for a walk along the canal towards the allotments and then towards Hopwood College which leads to the Hopwood Woods.There is 2 pubs,petrol station and a car park if you didn't park at the pub,just before the petrol station there is a small bumpy car park, NO FEES”

“Country park in Royton with toilets, picnic areas, playground and cafe (only open weekends which is a shame) There's a largish car park but also parking on the approach road (if there's space).Lots of routes that are colour coded. Some are quite steep but if you have the strength to push a pram/wheelchair uphill the trails are wide and in good condition - mainly tarmac or hardcore. There are plenty of narrower trails off these for the more adventurous.”

“A really great place for a walk especially with our dog. We tend to do the llama farm loop then back along the canal towpath towards Swizzles before heading towards the Rock Inn & down the path back to the riverside park. Other alternatives include keeping on the path past the llama farm to Cowgill farm then cross the road to the footpath under the railway line up to a bridleway which gives options to go to the road & down towards Hare and Hounds or carry on to Big Stone...(see photos)”

“A pretty little gardens, great in all seasons, especially autumn when all the leaves change colour. In spring the flowers are beautiful and vibrant. Good place for a short walk with the dog, although dogs are kept on leads which is good for nervous dogs or puppies.”

“We had a delicious lunch here. Their gyros are probably one of the best in town. The owner is friendly and happy to talk about what they serve. They use quality ingredients and you can easily tell their food tastes delicious and authentic. They have a fantastic meal deal where you can get a gyro, a drink and a cake for around a tenner. The place is nice, quiet and with some beautiful Greek decorations on the wall.”

“A small restaurant, with an outside area at the front. We had a main course only, the menu while not large was interesting and the tasty food came hot to the table. We had the house wine which was good an enjoyable evening. Would return there again.”

“Sue & the team provided a lovely buffet my mum's 70th birthday, plenty of selection. Their service is efficient and will go ubove & beyond to any requests ie dietary, selection, delivery etc. Also followed by calls to check everything is ok etc. Sue takes pride in providing the best customer service. “Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and would absolutely recommend. Both the waitress and chef were really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered the Omelette with chips which was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was served hot and tasted great. Portion sizes were quite big and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere inside the place was really nice too. There's indoor and outdoor seating available plus a customer toilet. My only critique would be that the canned and bottled drinks are not refrigerated and I think they should change this. Would be nice if they made a kids menu too”
