“What a pleasant surprise to find a really clean room and hotel; but also to be met by the friendliest receptionist, and assisted by a lovely guy, who carried our ( vast amounts) of luggage up the stairs. Thank you! ( For reference, we checked in at 3.30pm on 4/10/25).”

“Should've known that writing a review 2 days into a 4 day trip, would've come back to bite me on the back side. We stayed Monday to Thursday in November and on the Wednesday, someone knocked and entered my room without consent or without telling me who they were or why they were coming in. After I had shouted at them to get out they shut the door and walked back out of my accessible room. I got to the door and asked them what they wanted, they said they needed to fit something, never told me what though. Then proceeded to ask if I was going out that day to which I replied, im not sure. We proceeded to go out about an hour later and when we have come back the very thing that was broken, non emergency, was fixed. Again no one asked me to enter. No one asked for consent to enter the room id paid £677 for 3 nights. This is not deemed as an emergency because if it was, you have the right to tell me that and ask for my consent to enter. None of this was done. Id went down to reception who agreed it was out of line. I could've been in a wheelchair, In the shower, deaf, naked, anything, none of which was taken into account account. I was told there was no management there at the time and that I should leave me email for a manager to be in contact. That didn't happen for some days so I took to the IHG app which was also useless because a member of management - James- at the Holiday Inn Manchester told me that they dont correspond with one another so whatever they'd offered me in compensation has nothing at all to do with what theyre willing to do, which is nothing. Id suggest if you have any accessible needs, you do NOT book her as if there is any issues, they fail to deal with them, ignore emails and won't accept or compensate for this mistakes Ive left my initial review there so you can see the stark difference between the two in literally 12hrs Fantastic experience at the holiday inn. I brought my client as we were going to look at canal street etc. I had requested that the bed was made up as 2 singles and it wasnt but they quickly got me another bed and made it up for me. We had I think whats called an accessible room, and the room was stunning. Had all the plug sockets you could need along side usb charging ports. Plenty of lights along side a uv light in the bathroom. Spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy and the rooms were warm. They also had a bath along side a shower. Breakfast was amazing”

She was attentive, incredibly kind, and went out of her way to make our son feel welcome. Her positive attitude and professionalism made our dining experience a highlight. “Good location. Staff are friendly. Discount parking for the multi story car park-£11 for 24 hours. Room is clean and comfortable. Free of charge for late check out which is superb so I could get a quick shower after ran the Manchester half! Dog friendly hotel. Love it! My dog enjoyed the view.”

He moves with efficiency during busy stretches without ever making customers feel rushed. I noticed him quietly anticipating needs—refreshing water glasses, wiping down the bar between orders, and checking in with guests at the perfect moments. He also seems to have built rapport with many regulars, greeting them by name and remembering their usual orders, which says a lot about both his consistency and the community feel he helps foster. In an industry where service can often feel transactional, David’s approach stands out. He brings expertise, personality, and an obvious passion for coffee, turning a simple visit into something memorable. If you stop by this café, I’d highly recommend ordering at the bar—you’ll likely learn something new and leave with a drink that’s crafted with exceptional care.”

I have been shopping with John since he took over his first shop many years ago a few shops down from where the old Marple post office used to be and his enthusiasm and commitment to his customers has never dropped!Sue and Judy are a great team couldn’t be more helpful I wouldn’t shop for fresh fruit and vegetables and where else-definitely recommend and Thank you!”

Some of the Iceland Supermarket Products are excellent value for money, for example the Frozen Pizza, Hunter's Chicken including the Frozen Vegetables available like Garden Peas, Broccoli, Sweet Baby Carrots, Baby Spinach & Mixed Veg Packs. Also fine for Frozen Fish & Seafood & some Fish Meals. They sell a Decent size Bag of Frozen Seafood which contains Mussels, King Prawns & Squid Rings that is ideal for cooking Sicilian Seafood Linguine Pasta. Not too busy Midweek but it is Busy Friday, Saturday. So, some fine economical item choices for a Small Budget.”

“Lisa did the flowers for my dad's funeral recently. We asked for a 'Dad' wreath with some Manchester United badges. The wreath was perfect, absolutely beautiful and the price was much lower than anywhere else I've seen. Thank you Lisa. I highly recommend your service.”

“I went with some friends to celebrate my brother's birthday. I have a lot of allergies, so I'm hard to find food for, but Peter gave me (and my brother) excellent service - he made me feel like, even though it was pretty hectic there, I was the only person he was serving in the room. Perfect! Also, Maggie (Mags?) did provide good service in giving us the food, checking we were all happy. Additionally, the food was pretty good. Finally, the restaurant was very busy , which is a sure sign of popularity!”

“Came across Ali's barber shop as I was in desperate need of a hair cut and fed up of booking appointments days/ weeks in advance that are overpriced at hair salons. And I found a gem! Anna was attentive and managed to bring life back to my hair. Got a layered hair cut and my hair feels light and healthy again and falls naturally without much styling needed. Would recommend! Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff as well :)”

“My stay at the Townhouse Hotel Manchester was truly wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Despite being in the city centre, the room was peaceful and quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Overall, the Townhouse Hotel exceeded my expectations. “After being let down by another hotel I turned to Novotel Manchester Centre. I was greeted by the extremely helpful Pasquale at reception. I explained my circumstances and Pasquale couldn't do enough to help and reassure me. On a day that was stressful and grey Pasquale really brought the sunshine back for which im thankful. We opted for a family room that was spacious, clean, modern and well laid out. All the staff work really hard in the hotel and are really helpful. This includes the cleaning and room staff. Special mention to Inga and her team who were so helpful and friendly with requests I had. Food and drink in the hotel were also great. The in house restaurant serves great food whatever the time of day. Again some super helpful and hardworking staff here with a mention to Isaac behind the bar. He was friendly and helpful to me and my children. The Novotel brand has always been a reliable and great brand. Im a firm beleiver that brands and hotels are built on their staff. At Novotel Manchester Centre you really have amazing staff who go the extra mile. They are a credit to the hotel and the Novotel brand. Many thanks and myself & my family will be back again soon.”

“Cheap but high quality. We visited second time to try their surf and turf, and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was surprisingly tender, together with garlic sauce, it was amazing. Finally, I can have corns with proper corn flavor in UK instead of bbq sauce. Highly recommend the rib corn there.”
