“Robina and John are the most wonderful neighbours to have over the road from Hive Stores. They both work very hard to bring a lot more joy and creativity to the neighbourhood and are always willing to help where they can. The waiting room cafe has the best value full English around and the engine room is set to become a great creative hub. Whilst enjoying breakfast on our day off we conversed with familiar faces from the local neighbourhood who were enjoying crafts and socialising in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Robina and John for always helping, making us laugh and generally being authentic people. You've created a great space!”

“Great quality food for a more upscale version of a British lunch. The scallops were outstanding so was the T bone steak in particular as cooked to perfection, but was all great. Lovely restaurant in Hale village and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.”

“I've not had a chippy tea for a long time, and I've not been to this chippy for ever longer. Just getting over the flu I couldn't be bothered cooking so thought I'd go for Fish & Chips. It was a great decision, Im not sure if this place has a new ownership in the last few years but the Fish & chips with mild curry sauce was 10/10. Very impressed, give it a go!”

“This cafe should shout about itself more. Second visit and just as good as the first time. Everything we had was fresh and tasted home cooked. Generous portions and great value. We were spoilt for choice on the menu so tried the five salad option and a slice of the greek spanakopita. Both excellent and couldn’t fault seasoning and flavours. Dessert was great too.”

“This place is amazing, from the gorgeous food, the eclectic decor and the lovely, attentive staff that help to make this an wonderful experience from the moment you enter until the time when you don't want to leave. A must if you're in Altrincham. Definitely a food and people place. Can't wait until we go again. They should sell a recipe book of some of these dishes, especially those great dishes they don't do anymore.”

“The best breakfast sandwiches around! Unlike anywhere else I’ve tried, they use high quality buns and toast them which is so much better than the cheap white rolls found in most places. The quality of the bacon and eggs is also amazing. Great pit stop on our dog walks.”

“Such a lovely place. Wonderful food, volunteers, people and atmosphere. There is a nice store that sells nice wine, soaps, salt, jewellery, greeting cards including wooden greetings cards, chutney, tea, jams..and many more. For me, it's love at first sight.”

“Crispy chicken breast with soup udon. Iced bubble milk tea. Help yourself with different seasoning. Salt and pepper, seaweed and cheese powder and quite a few others. Would be even better if the breadcrumbs or flour not too thick. Worth trying. Milk tea and a few other drinks come at half price with food order at lunchtime. Very close to metro station or you can park and shop at Tesco Extra with three-hour free parking. Less than five minutes walk from Tesco.”

“I have visited Unagi on a few occasions now and every visit is always great. The food is delicious! I would highly recommend the Bang Bang Karaage chicken and the salt & pepper fries, these were our favourites but everything tasted so good. Service is always friendly and very attentive. “Dining at Brasserie Blanc was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay at the Delta Hotel. From the moment we stepped inside, the beautifully designed interior transported us to a different world. The space is bathed in natural light, creating an atmosphere that’s both elegant and uplifting. Despite not having a reservation, the staff welcomed us with warmth and generosity, even seating us in what must be the best spot in the house. The customer service was nothing short of exceptional—genuine, attentive, and effortlessly accommodating. The food was absolutely divine. We started with the Dressed Devon Crab and the Pan-Fried Sea Bream, both bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors and perfectly presented. Paired with a bottle of their delicious white wine, it was a meal to remember. So memorable, in fact, that we ended up enjoying a second bottle as we lingered over dessert. Speaking of dessert—what a treat! The Wye Valley Rhubarb Crumble was the perfect balance of tart and sweet, while the Pistachio Soufflé was light, airy, and full of flavor. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Brasserie Blanc is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience we’ll fondly remember and gladly recommend. Can’t wait to return!”

“We love it at The Hale Pizza Express. We come on a weekly basis knowing we will be warmly greeted by Massimo. The food is always perfect and tweaked to our liking. It’s a nice touch knowing our order and having personal conversation. Couldn’t recommend Massimo and his team of friendly waiters and top notch pizza chefs enough. 6 stars”

My son had a great time kneading the dough and preparing his own pizza. He was very proud of the finished pizza. It was a wonderful afternoon and amazing value for money. “If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.”

“Gluten free menu attached as I couldn't find it online. Some good options, food came quickly and was hot. I wished there were chips on the gluten free menu but jacket potatoes were a nice change. Service was slightly slow but was rectified quickly. They have gluten free beer which is nice. It was very busy which was nice to see considering it's tucked away.”

The service was absolutely excellent — Vicky and Josh were both friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. A big thank you also to the night manager, David, who made sure everything ran smoothly and added a personal touch to the evening. The food was spot on — the scampi was perfectly cooked, the fish and chips were crisp and delicious, and the deserts were absolutely lovely. Everything was fresh, piping hot, and full of flavour. “I am from Arizona, but I served a Mormon mission here back in 1980 and this was the one place that had the best burgers in the world better than any that I have in America. And so literally I’ve been coming back for 43 years to this same place and same location. Their hamburgers and onion rings are second to none. And the lady that’s been serving us has been there 27 years, that’s crazy. When we bring my kids over and grandkids this is their favorite stop, we purchase takeout and then we walk across the street to the picnic tables and enjoy the best burgers around.”
