βA lovely park with lots of options for children to have fun. We had 6 children ranging from 9 months to 8 years and all found something to do. Parking is reasonable, as is the kiosk. They enjoyed feeding the ducks, the bike track, play ground and the sand pit. More benches on the sunshine would be useful.β
βThe building, i believe, is not open to the general pubic but luckily for me, i work for the company that maintains it, so I got to see inside and how grand it is pictures speak for themselves it's grade 2 listed and has links with Agatha christie and also prince albert is rumourd to have stayed the night here on a visit to Manchester to open a galleryβ
βThis is a GEM! One of my happy places. The grounds are very well maintained and it's a delight to walk around.β
βLovely place to stop off after a long walk and dog friendly great selection of food and cakes and very friendly peopleβ
βOne of Tamesides hidden gems. The main entrance has 2 big open spaces for ball games etc. A young children's play area with a gated sand pit and further up the hill an older children's play area with climbing frames. But the best bit is the public orchard at the top of the hill and the wildlife sanctuary plus a plethora of wild walking paths. Popular with dog walkers (please pick up your dogs waste) and families alike. A good stroll around Cheathams will get the heart pumping and is a joy for the eye. 10/10.β
βA lovely traditional park with lots to see and do. The park has good play areas for the little ones which includes a water fountain play area in the summer months. A lovely coffee shop in the centre of the park with an ice cream van present near the play areas for most of the warmer months. There are also bowling greens, a duck pond and aviary with various types of birds to look at. Worth a visit if you're in the area and an excellent way to kill a few hours for free.β

βBrilliant little park! Love the miniature railway.β
βVery Nice Place to relax. Kids, Young People and Adults also can visit here. There is playground here where kids can experience the outbound training activities. There is duck tank and kids enjoying to feed them. Walking path available along the duck tank and inside the park. Enough grass land inside the park. A lot of parking space available. Entrance is free. Ice cream van usually parked inside the park and the cost is bit high which is around 5GBP. Overall recommended place.β
βQueenβs Park in Bolton is a gem for families and individuals alike, offering a delightful blend of tranquillity and fun. This well-maintained park is a haven for children, boasting an impressive playground with around 15 engaging play structures that spark joy and creativity. From slides to climbing frames, thereβs something to keep kids entertained for hours. The parkβs serene atmosphere makes it equally appealing for adults seeking a peaceful stroll or a refreshing run through its scenic paths. A charming cafΓ© sits conveniently next to the playground, perfect for grabbing a cuppa or a snack, though it requires a short walk to reach, adding to the parkβs relaxed vibe. The lush greenery and open spaces create an inviting setting for picnics, leisurely walks, or simply unwinding. Whether youβre a parent watching your little ones play or someone looking for a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle, Queenβs Park delivers. The park is clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed, making it a fantastic spot for all ages. I highly recommend Queenβs Park to anyone in Bolton or visiting the area. Itβs a wonderful place to create lasting memories with family or enjoy some quality time outdoors. A true community treasure! Recommended?: highly recommended.β€οΈβ

β17th March 2025. Had a desperate need to use the facilities at Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre at Wythenshawe. Had a very warm welcome, from Michaela, Danielle and Sally. They explained to me about the centre and the services they offer and I was quite impressed. I could see they were working there hoping to make a difference, and I could see it was working. Worth a visit to see what is on offer, you will be very welcome. Keep up the good work girls xβ

βFree parking (When you show your cinema ticket to the staff ask for parking validation. They will give you a card. Before you exit the building after your movie ends, go to the parking machine. Type in your car reg and the code, this will validate your parking) Great Cinema. Recliner seats, which are very comfortable. The staff are always welcoming and nice.β
βNice family park - I liked it because of the central lake and it's tucked within a residential estate. Cute.β
βLovely walk, choice of routes with miles wide paths an option on muddier days, or over dirt tracks when weather better. Beautiful views, not ever too busy like dovestones can be. Lack of bins is my only issue, so occasionally see dog poo bags hanging on bushes, which is a shame.β
