“We have loved coming to this restaurant over the last couple of years. Have had excellent service and great food at a good price. Since lockdown, we have ordered takeaway from here a few times and even though they are busy, their service has still been excellent! You have been the highlight of our day today... thank you!”

“Indian Affair is hands down my favourite spot for Indian food in Chorlton - I come here regularly and always leave full & happy. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. My go-to order is Butter Chicken with their garlic naan and perfectly cooked pilau rice. The Lamb Nihari is another favourite - rich, tender and a great portion size! And if you love street food-style starters, the Samosa Chaat is a must-try. On top of the amazing food, the prices are really reasonable for the quality you get. Whether you’re dining in or getting a takeaway, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend checking this place out!”

“Food is exceptional, I can't stop thinking about the my risotto marinara and for dessert, pistachio semifreddo on special is to die for! They have a small parking which was full when we got there on Sat evening, we had to find on-street parking elsewhere. Though we got a table just fine without reservation”

“Excellent gem in culcheth village. We had lunch with all dishes being fantastic and the buffalo chicken one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had. Superb for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just evening drinks and a place to celebrate! Really attentive and friendly service staff who the owners are lucky to employ.”

“Love this cafe. As a veggie the soup of the day was chicken but the owner James set to and made me the most delicious mushroom and sweetcorn soup ever . The prices cant be beaten in this place (large full English £4.95) and the menu extensive with a mix of English and Carribean all sounds delicious. James looks so calm under pressure as he was alone cooking and serving when we called in but everyone served in no time..my favourite place to eat when in Bolton.”

“Amazing venue! The only place I found that do literally everything for you all within a very reasonable price! Booked in April for a surprise baby shower yesterday and it was perfect! The room was all decorated perfectly with the cutest little touches, Nat did the buffet for us which was lovely and fresh with a good variety of food! Bar was stocked with lots of different drinks & the bouncy castle was the best thing to keep the kids entertained and safe! Herself & dale literally couldn’t have done anymore for us! 10/10 experience & will definitely recommend! Thank you so much xxx”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“Excellent micro tap bar inside the indoor market hall. Lovely bar spread across 3 market units of space inside Tommyfield indoor market hall, very cosy and comfy little bar. Good choices of alcohol/ale's, Drink prices are really good value and not expensive at all! Friendly bar staff and lovely customers who seem to very chatty and welcoming. You can easily strike up good conversation in this bar and make new friends. This place is very much welcomed in the indoor market hall bringing new customers and faces to a part of the market hall that was a bit empty, Please support this little bar and visit Cob and Coal.”

“Thank you to Neil and Tim for allowing my mothers birthday party to be held in the hall. The party could not have gone any better and Tim was on hand to help out with anything. I moved away from Withington many years ago but such a shame that we did not have a venue like this whilst I was there. Nothing was too much for Tim to do for us at the party. Thank you again for everything. My mum had such a fantastic time and could only compliment the staff for everything that they did. Absolutely 5 star review!!!”

“A wonderful pub with fantastic food. Been here a few times and it never disappoints. The owners /staff are attentive and very welcoming. They have a great variety of beers, spirits and authentic Japanese sake and gins etc and also green tea, coffee for the non beer drinkers. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. I’ve taken a few friends and family here and they’re bowled over with the food. My Japanese friend have said it’s the best tempura she has had in the UK. Looking forward to the expansion to the beer garden in the back as well.”

“The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”

“Marble Brewery are one of the best brewers around in my view. Their new tap has hit the ground running. On my visit, there was Pint on cask, in addition to 9 varied keg offerings and a full fridge. Great use of the space given its purpose and a place I'll return to.”

“Another terrific trip to Gladstone. It was my wife’s birthday and she had specifically requested a family meal to enjoy the epic Sunday Roasts on offer here. Hannah was attentive throughout our visit and gave excellent service. The food was amazing with great portions and excellent quality overall. The Sticky Toffee Pudding sadly defeated me.. We look forward to another trip in the future.”

“Hosts very welcoming as I arrived late and they organised a taxi for me . Bed was very comfortable clean and tidy room and bathroom. I was in awe at the view from the breakfast room / lounge - amazing views of the Diglea valley - sheep and lambs in fields - hens clucking around the car park . I chose my breakfast which was freshly cooked whilst I admired the views and peace . The hosts were kind and gave lots of information about the history of the area . A definite recommended from me .”

“Great little cinema which is made especially enjoyable by the little introduction that the staff do on each film, giving a little insight into how it was made, or other films the director has made. The place is welcoming to everyone, and when my partner and I went to watch The Handmaiden, there were a wide variety of people in the audience, which is always good to see.”

“Just dined in at Heavensteak tonight and got the Saturday deal. Quirky little intimate Dive Bar, Excellent Service, Great Music and the Food was bang on! The chicken wings were very tasty, Fries cooked to perfection and the Onion Rings a welcoming compliment to the meal. 5 Stars from me!”

“We had a dinner at this restaurant. It was a delicious meal and a very pleasant evening. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere was very relaxing, all the guests around us looked happy. The restaurant was well designed, very cosy and elegant. All the dishes were beautifully served and delicious. We were even offered a freebie, appetiser, before our meals. We were very pleased that we found this restaurant and definitely would recommend it. I also liked very much Black Sheep Ale.”

“Intimate little restaurant serving fabulous food, all cooked on order by owner and Chef, Mandy. The paella is the best I have ever tasted but don't forget to check the specials board as well. When everything is so good it's ideal that it's tapas, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Menu prices are very reasonable and as it's BYOB, you save money bringing your own alcoholic drinks. (Edit ; they charge that small an amount for corkage i never even noticed until they replied to this review) Friendly, attentive staff in a lovely relaxed atmosphere complete the picture, making this one of my favourite places to bring the people that I love. x”
