“Lovely food, great atmosphere and it's doggy friendly which is perfect, the only thing we dint see was a car park, but we just parked up at Tesco and walked up like not even 5 minutes, so wasn't a big issue, definitely going their again when we come back to visit :)”

“Amazing place- huge portion, flavour filled dishes which taste authentic and at great prices. A really unassuming place, very humble but this is what restaurants should be - the food should do the talking and the decor shouldn’t distract. I’ll be coming back here soon! The service was really friendly and though small, most tables were occupied on a weekday night and it had a great cosy vibe.”

“'La Sensationale' Me and my partner have just been for the 1st time, and had a meal on a Saturday evening (6.00pm sitting). The place was packed when we walked in, so we thought that must be a good sign!? All courses were GORGEOUS and the portion sizes, although at first appearance seemed rather small, were actually just right! All staff that served us were lovely; very friendly and polite, which helped to make our visit feel extra special... This included the manageress who clearly runs a very well controlled operation as empty tables were cleared, cleaned and reset in a very fast and efficient manner! The place remained packed throughout our 2 hour stay, and we will definitely be returning very soon! A SPECIAL THANKS GOES TO MAGDALENA, WHO PROVIDED EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE THROUGHOUT!! “Excellent friendly welcome, the owner took our order. We had to wait for our starters which meant they were freshly prepared (the restaurant was quiet with it being during the week), some restaurants just warm up the starters but not here! We really enjoyed our starters. The main courses arrived & were excellent! Also desserts were good and we ate everything. My wife enjoyed her wine and I had an excellent ice cold pint of water!(I was driving). Top marks for everything here. They are very child friendly too. Our waiter was extremely friendly and the owner was too! We will be back!”

“The place to go in Royton - and Oldham for that matter - for craft beer. The menu is always changing with great choices from various breweries from across the UK. The atmosphere is always good and you're always given a friendly welcome. The food is great too, be it the in-house burgers or the various street food vendors that come into the kitchen, too.”

“This place is a proper hidden gem. The pizza is the best around. Proper stonebaked pizza, tastes amazing. The burgers are really good too. Just a small restaurant so it has a nice atmosphere and the friendly staff make it even better. Would definitely recommend!”

“This chippy has been here since I was a Kid back in the 80's, and the family who have owned the chippy since I can remember are still producing the same awesome English and Chinese food around. This is my go to chippy because it's always a trip down memory lane, the recipies have never changed and the food still tastes the same as back in the day. So you know 30 years or more running the place they have mastered their entire menu, I would recommend to all.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. “I highly recommend this place for those who eat vegetarian or vegan. The food is delicious, especially the masala dosa, chana masala and poppadoms, and chutney tray. Also, the dessert carrot halwa with ice cream. The staff were friendly, and the dining area as well as the deli area was very impressive. I would come to visit again soon.”

“I recently visited The Old Original for a lovely Sunday meal, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. My partner opted for the Sunday roast, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection — tender and full of flavor, without being pink. I went for the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas, and I must say, the peas were absolutely delicious! (as was the homemade chips and rag pudding).The gravy had a rich, meaty flavor that really enhanced the meal, not bland like some places can be. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, and everything was piping hot when served. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff making sure we had everything we needed. I chose from the fixed menu, and ended the meal with a lovely slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was a real treat! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The pub has a warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a candle on the table, and the rural setting with its lovely views makes it a perfect place to unwind. While the car park is a little on the small side, street parking is available, so it’s not too much of an issue. All in all, I would highly recommend this pub. The food, service, and overall experience were top-notch, and I can’t wait to return soon!”

The food was really delicious. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus and we even got a sausage for our doggo! Highly recommend!!”
