“Went here on a Saturday night for my husband's birthday. Overall, a lovely night and a very nice place to spend it. The staff were friendly and attentive and service was fast. I was a bit disappointed that there was only one choice of risotto, a vegetarian one, so I had that. Must say, it was delicious and lifted to a higher level by the side dish of stir fried chilli veg. We were a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meals, though the lobster ravioli was reported to be a bit bland. The staff made an effort to mark the birthday, even though we hadn't told them about it! We would definitely go back, as we had a most enjoyable, if slightly expensive evening.”

“Had a impromptu lunch date at this cafe and it was wonderful! the atmosphere was relaxing and very welcoming. The staff are warm and helpful ,we had to a make dietary request and they accommodated it and it wasn't any bother. cafe is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, they have different types of chairs which was a life saver for my back! Absolutely loved the food , a little expensive I would say but definitely worth it , best BBQ chicken cheese toastie I've had and the salad that accompanied it was gorgeous. Just what was need on a hot day. I would definitely recommend this place !”

“popped in on my own as I’ve never tried it here, only ordered a few starters and two pints. What an excellent Indian, best in Glossop 100%, very attentive staff, top food and fairly priced. I will definitely be returning for a banquet!”

“We stayed in room 214, room was clean a bit on the small side,bedding and towels were clean, bed was firm and the pillows were very firm,not much of a view, we had 4 pidgeons keep in us company outside the window,we didn’t get a good nights sleep because the thermostat which was next to the bed kept clicking all night, quite loudly so we didn’t get much sleep. The soap hadn’t been re filled in the shower, we asked at reception and it was filled, staff very pleasant but overall well worth the money”

“Lovely pub in Old Glossop. Stayed for a night on a walking weekend. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious - one of us had a roast dinner with amazing cauliflower cheese. The other two shared delicious tapas, highlight was the ribs and the feta salad. A lovely pub, highly recommend.”

“I don’t have curry very often and it’s the first time getting it from here, & I have to say it was absolutely Delicious , everything was Piping hot when it arrived and arrived within 30 minutes. I will definitely use this place again.”

“We had a minibus for the airport run from Hadfield and again on the way home. We were travelling with 2 young children and needed our child seat for the youngest. Both drivers were excellent; friendly, helpful, patient and professional making both journeys stress free. Would definitely recommend them. Thanks GTS for great service.”

“Was a resounding victory for my taste buds. Me and the muckas loved the scran and I found the drinks to be as cold as Cole Palmer. Overall loved the munch and thought it was different gravy”

“Great value Domino's in Glossop. Two minutes walk from the Travelodge. Great deals like but one pizza get one free. Quick service- ready in 10 minutes and this on a Saturday night. Fresh and clean place. Wide menu options with vegetarian and plant based. Easy parking bays nearby. Definitely recommend. They got one of our pizza orders wrong but gave us free cookies- these are work getting as they are hot and gooey. Super yummy.”

“I love coming here for a breather by myself or with my little boy. He absolutely loves it, Lindsay is a gem and her food is delicious. The freshly made milkshakes go down a treat with my boy, the tea is spot on and the hot food is always tasty. There are lots of walks in the area so it's a great place to start or finish at.”

“My new local coffee shop, and I couldn't be happier to have such tasty beverages on my doorstop :) Sandwiches, cold drinks and pastries are available too, but it's their teas, coffees and hot chocolates (with a vast array of flavour options) which give them the reputation that they deserve.”

“The service from jess at the front of the house and james in the kitchen was excellent. The beers were refreshing, and the food was exceptional. My steak was one of the best I've tasted, the highlight of my visit. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting.”

“Upon entering the atmosphere was great, very polite and friendly, the small appetiser that me and friend shared was really good, the food was really delicious, flavourful, wasn’t cold or undercooked, the dessert was super light but had really good flavour across all layers of the lemon cheesecake. “What a gorgeous little restaurant! The food was delicious, I had a really good quality thick steak and my partner’s lamb shank was also spot on. Seriously impressed and the service was fantastic, Samed looked after us and was absolutely brilliant as was his colleague. Really great service and really great food, such a great place. “FISH DISHES 95. Salt & Pepper Fish / £7.10 WOW WHAT A LOVELY TREAT, The fish was battered , lots of pieces, flavoured with JOY. i had chips with mine,£7.60 , but Wow was it worth it, homemade chips made with potatoes ( NOT these oven baked hollow ones )”

“A gem, truly. Both bar and shop are tremendous, offering a range of brilliant beers and superb wines at range of prices. Well priced, interesting draft beer as well as being a pleasant place to pass time. What's not to like.”
