“Clive provided an outstanding service from start to finish, and most importantly it was all stress free! We were given a large choice of products to choose from and we were not disappointed on fit out day - products looked amazing in the catalogues and matched in real life. Clive and his team (fitter, electrician and plasterer) all did a great job onsite, very friendly and courteous. They always listened to what we wanted and made it happen. All very trustworthy and helpful. Many thanks for all the good suggestions that were provided to us. Clive was very helpful in co-ordinating the electrician to fit a new fuse board and change a few broken sockets around the house - all at very reasonable prices. He also introduced us to a good waste disposal company and plumber too. He is clearly a professional and well connected! We really like our new kitchen and can't wait to use it. “Hosts very welcoming as I arrived late and they organised a taxi for me . Bed was very comfortable clean and tidy room and bathroom. I was in awe at the view from the breakfast room / lounge - amazing views of the Diglea valley - sheep and lambs in fields - hens clucking around the car park . I chose my breakfast which was freshly cooked whilst I admired the views and peace . The hosts were kind and gave lots of information about the history of the area . A definite recommended from me .”

“This is my favourite Café. I always pop in for a breakfast/brunch when I'm in this area. I also love the Armenian dessert. Place is run by super kind and polite, and very professional people. Always smiled and happy to help. You can see how your food is made, as kitchen door are always open. It's always busy here but I've never waited for the food too long. Very tasty coffee. They also provide few toys for small children, so families are nicely welcome here. Prices are fair. I highly recommend that place for everyone, who values a good quality of food and expect a positive attitude from the staff. I've been here many times and for sure, I'll be coming back here soon.”

“A massive thank you to the whole team at Barwoods for the fitted wardrobes and dressing tables etc that we have recently had fitted. This is the second time we’ve had wardrobes fitted with Barwood’s and the quality and attention to details hasn’t changed at all. Our eldest has already hung his medals up on the custom made board and arranged his trophy's on the shelf above his desk and even our 4 year old was excited to have new wardrobes! I absolutely love all the bedrooms. Genuinely, we’re absolutely delighted with them and wish to pass on our thanks to David & Jean, Josh, Nathan, Jonathan and of course Julie who designed it all.”

“Couldn’t recommend the place enough; been meaning to visit since it opened but only just got round to it and I can’t wait to go back. Cycled over, so made use of the plentiful bike racks. Really loved the outdoor area, but sat inside and ordered coffees and breakfast. Service was friendly, coffee and food was all grand; especially the rhubarb and yoghurt granola bowl. Breakfast muffin was tasty too. Looks like a great place for food, events, drinks, etc. My kids had a nice time and I bet on sunny days that outdoor must be hammered. Will be back soon I hope”

The fish is absolutely incredible — I ordered it half an hour in advance so they could prepare it fresh, and it was worth every minute. A perfect fillet, no bones, beautifully seasoned, and cooked with real love. I added the jerk sauce, and honestly, it complements the fish so well… rich, warm, and full of flavour. The staff are outstanding too — decades of experience in Jamaican cooking, and you can taste that wisdom in every bite. They treat you like family the moment you walk in. This place has become my go-to for Jamaican food in Ashton. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. One Love. Unity in a time of division.”
