“We ordered the pepperoni pizza and chips, and everything was delicious — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served fresh. After that, we enjoyed a lovely coffee while relaxing by the wooden chimney, which made the whole experience feel warm and cozy. Great food, great atmosphere — highly recommended!”

“The beating heart of Moss side. A great Manchester pub of historical significance for Man City fans in particular. The management are warm and passionate, the regulars friendly and good humoured. Whether on your own for a quick pint or in a big group you will always find someone to chat and laugh along with, as all pubs should be!”

“Had a really good night at my stepsons party in the venue room. Good size & plenty of seating.Staff were friendly & helpful. Had our own caterers. Parking was a little restricted but plenty of room nearby.”

“Called in for an 80th birthday celebration, the place was clean, bar staff very pleasant, good range of beers also has 0% alcohol beers. We were allowed to use the kitchen to make cups of tea. One of the girls was called Emily who was very efficient.”

“Booked a table for 15 with pre ordered food from the menu . Young lady behind the bar was brilliant. You could see she was on her own but she got all the food out really quickly and still served behind the bar . The food was really good with a wide selection across the group everyone enjoyed there meals . Thanks Paul little lever”

“Spoilt for choice in Bramhall for eateries, and having never tried the Nook and Broom before, the family and I thought we'd give it a go. The verdict was unanimous. A great choice of family friendly seating areas, all well lit. A number of small unobtrusive TV's for those who go to watch sports. The food. Oh my goodness the food! Great value and all very well prepared and served in good time. My personal favourite was the 1kg chicken wing sharer. So much so my son and I went back a few days later to take advantage of 'wing Wednesday' 40p per wing (the wings are a good size too) in the sauce of your choice. Then, spotting the breakfast menu had to go back next day to sample the £7 Big Breakfast (see pic). A great spread for seven quid and all done to [my] perfection. Finally, the friendly and attentive staff. Cheers Leon and Olivia for topping off the experience with your professional and welcoming nature. Highly recommend this place for all the above reasons. “Really lovely pub with a restaurant feel in the main dining area, and a super dog-friendly dining experience in the Garden Room. Our server, Charlotte, was very friendly and attentive. Really appreciated the card on our table, wishing our Mum a happy birthday, along with a complimentary drink. Only downside was the dreadful smell from drains in the ladies. Will definitely return.”

“An amazing cosy pub with a ceiling so low you almost have to limbo dance to the bar. They have a nice selection of pies on the bar if you’re peckish, and my fella was well happy to see Murphy’s stout on tap, makes a nice change from Guinness. There is a nice big beer garden out back as well with some seating under cover”

“To experience this oddity in the modern world you cannot do it over a couple of drinks or a fleeting visit. It has historical and cultural depths that the locals are barely conscious of and only the regulars get it. Once you get it you'll find it difficult to let go. When I enter the MOP it feels like I'm putting on an old, but well loved jacket, with its creases that fits just right. Comfortable.”

“Diane the member of staff was very friendly and polite and allowed us to change tables for the amazing view over Manchester. There was no Turkey available on the Christmas menu, but there were plenty of other options available so we chose Gammon. The food was excellent quality and so delicious. We love the food and ambience here. A very nice place to eat and drink for any occasion.”

“Who would make a review for whetherspoon? I think it is because it us one of the best. Very polite staff, nice environment and most important, very very nice breakfast, especially the bacon. It is sometimes tricky that different branches of whetherspoon varies a lot. Anyway this one is impressive.”

“My friend and I visited John Gilbert on 19th December for lunch. Service was very good (by Casey). Both our meals were very tasty and served lovely and hot. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. A nice relaxing ambience. I would definitely recommend this pub both for food and service.”

“Arguably one of the best Donner Wraps that I've had in a long, long time. The mests are very flavoursome and they're not dry like some other places. The prices are reasonable and it's definitely worth the money. Chips taste nice too and you get a good selection of 3 sauces which is a nice added extra. Didn't have to wait a long time to get my food either. I'd buy my Donner from here any day rather than the cheaper takeaways nearby. The salad and sauce that comes on the Wrap is also very tasty! Always updating their menu too which is good to see.”
